After much waiting and debilitating, I have decided that:
Rysto will replace SirDirx in this game!
However, he may not be particularly talkative.

OTOH though if we end up ostricating town, they too, can still use their power roles at night. Obviously we don’t have a list of the town power roles, but I assume there is at least one or two protectors of various types and probably some other roles that don’t require information to be returned (like an investigator). So again, go for ostrication when you’re not sure.
Let’s take these in reverse order::
I want to stay in the game. I enjoy Mafia and Haggle.
Mahaloth, you know my Haggle play, you have seen it. I saw an interesting angle to the game here, and was curious. I did not expect the quesiton to take on so much fire, however. Mafia is not Haggle. In Haggle, I’d already be even more sideways in logic than my last Mafia question would get at.
I reject the question, Freudian Slit. The question was on the theory of the vote, not on the practice.
However, I think that a question has been raised on if ostracizing grants a night power to the ostracized.
In the same vein:
**If I am the last to vote “Execute Meeko” (I doubt I ever will.) and indeed I do get executed, who gets ensinned? **
Rest Assured, I have no plans to shoot my self in the foot in Mafia.
My Tactics in Haggle, notwithstanding.
No-one. The mod’s brain will have exploded.
NETA: If I am the last to vote, PERIOD, and I vote “Execute Meeko”, who gets ensinned?
Never played Haggle, I take it, pedescribe?
and there shall be much weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth
Nope! But I will read the Haggle thread now…
It looks like I’m not going to be able to keep up with the game after all. Better sub me out. Sorry…
Oh, may God be with you.
Quickly reading the recent Haggle thread is like trying to climb Mt. Everest, while breaking the marathon world record and navigate a labyrinth at the same time.
pedescribe: I will save you the trouble.
I have made it a, let’s call it strategy,** IN HAGGLE *, to shoot my self in the foot. Then, I wait for the Shock to die out, and for Doubt to take over.
At that point, I make players watch me shoot my self in the foot AGAIN, but only after I get compensation for it.
*All part of the show, I assure you. The shooting my self in the foot, IN HAGGLE, is well calculated.
Oh, that’s too bad, Justin.
Sure? You were so cool in the Werewolf game.
Yeesh, three(is it?) subs in Day One. Yikes!
Again, I am staying put here. No need to worry about me.
Indeed. And furthermore, GuyIncognitto hasn’t shown up yet. Quite troublesome.
Psshaw! You’re talking to the guy who read through Mafia: YSI and Mafia: Conspiracy on consecutive nights. I’ll be fine…I hope.
This seems like a tactic to make sure the person who puts the final execution order on you doesn’t get ensinned.
As odd as it seems to be on the surface, if it works the way it technically should work, it’s seems to be a very pro-town play. That is, if a townie is going to be executed, the town player can vote for himself if he’s sure the current last vote came from another town player. It would, in fact, protect town.
I love you guys. Can I just say that? I mean seriously, you are beginning to think like I do.
Alright…when you give it a reason…
If the person about to be executed voluntarily commits the act himself, he would be tainted, with no way to remove it or act on it…furthemore, he would have no opportunity to decide his fate.
Meaning, he would die, and his win condition would change as if he had embraced the Sin.
Now we are getting somewhere.
Pede, get your “Unduly alter the gamestate” hot key ready.
How can Blackhearts “embrace” the sin?
I mean, you just did a scum tell there Pedescribe. There are other ways to become ensinned, than by voting. Am I right?
Heh. You know, I just might be able to get this game going sideways yet.
