Do you think, just maybe, that Paul is a Jack of All Trades type, and can only do each item listed just once?
Vote Mahaloth
And just so everyone is clear, here are my reasons::
- You are sneaking into bandwagons a tad to much. You just seem to show up, slip in, go home, undetected.
2.Given our Haggle History, and that I am new to Mafia, I am willing to bet that you are playing that up, just so I won’t suspect you. “Nah, I would never vote off Mahaloth, I knew him from Haggle, and plus, he is answering all my Mafia questions… I would never suspect him…”
- I realized that the deadline to vote was 12 hours sooner than I thought.
Mahaloth : If nothing else, chalk this up to a pure “Meeko” play.
I worry about this.
Paul could be a useful antisin weapon. If he is telling the truth, but let’s assume that he is. Sure, his powers can also be pro-sin, but I think we should hang onto him… at least for a little while. To get rid of him now would be premature. Ostracize him later - he is probably an attractive target for sinfection - but for now, at least, I feel it would be a mistake. With less than 4 hours left, though, I don’t think my case will get across in time. Nightfall approaches.
I, at least, will try to save him - I really think his claimed powers are useful.
**Unvote Joey P
Vote Captain Pinkies**
Day ends today, right? When does the next day start? Tuesday?
Okay…now that I’m caught up I have to agree with Allwalkers on this one.
I’m friends with Paul and I haven’t seen him online in a couple days. We need to give him a chance to respond at least. (Thing Fish, I agree with you that I want to hear whether he agrees to the plan or not, but I don’t think he’s reading right now.)
God help me if he turns out to be Blackheart, I’m surely going to regret this, but:
Unvote Thing Fish
Vote Captain Pinkies
Sorry, Cap, it’s nothing personal, just strategic.
- Meeko, you’re the one that voted for Nanook, never provided a reason and ignored question about it.
2 and 3 aren’t good reasons to vote for anyone.
You’re ‘confirmed’ mason, otherwise you’d have my vote.
I don’t think that Paul will survive. Don’t think my vote for anyone would matter at this point.
If 2 is not a good reason, the ALL bandwagon reasons aren’t good reasons to vote.
We have less than 45 minutes to vote, and I need to go out for Mother’s Day with my Mom soon.
Given how I feel about Mahaloth, Given the Math of Paul’s Vote, Given the timing, I feel that my Vote is the one needed right now.
I would almost say the Joey is pinging me here. Almost.

Regarding my “lurking”. This comes up in every single game I play, and I’m done defending myself regarding it. I put more thought and content into one of my posts than most people put in 10. My style is not changing, period. If you want to lynch me for it, go to town. But at least try and pretend you have a reason for it.
Meeko, please do me a favor and just take a deep breath. This is not Haggle. Unless you are a Third Party/PFK, you win as a team with your side. Thinking outside the box is good, but thinking so far outside the box that no one has any clue what you’re on about is not. It actively hurts your side, whichever it may be, and makes it difficult for people to play. Peeker is similar, but his style has adjusted some to the point where he is still Peeker, but you can follow him with a little effort. You aren’t at that point yet. I would love for you to get to that point though, because people who think and act differently are a great boon to Mafia in general.
And in another post I can’t find right now, I comment that Nanook handed me my Ass in his post above, asking me to take a deep breath.
How am I going to stay on voting for him after that? It was pure lurker voting, after I decided frankly, that I don’t want Paul lynched.
Nanook spoke, and it went from there with Captain, and now, a more REASONED reason for ME to vote Mahaltoh.

Joey, I don’t really see what else I need to say here. Unless you want me off of Mahaloth. **
Vote Count!
Paulwhoisaghost (4): Rysto, Freudian Slit, Mahaloth, TF
Captain Pinkies (4): Chronos, Allwalker, AngeloftheNorth, Paulwhoisaghost
Chronos (1): Special Ed
Mahaloth (1): Meeko
Replacement Count:
Replace Captain Pinkies (3):Mahaloth, AllWalker, Chronos
The atmosphere was tense in the small village of Boston. Revelations were flying everywhere, Special Ed and Meeko claimed to know each other, and Paul claimed to be able to manipulate sin as a Preacher. Well, that looked a little suspicious. The votes started flying. People noticed a startling lack of words from Captain Pinkies. The accusations shifted to his direction as well. The two were tied up, next to each other, and the town was unsure what to do.
“God, give us a sign”, asked AngeloftheNorth.
And at that moment, the wind flew, rattling the roof of the nearby houses, and causing a small coin to plink-plink-plink, and fall right on the Captain’s forehead.
“Thanks!”
And so they threw him over the fence. Hester Prynne, that lusty, sinful hedonist, hobbled off to the nearest port.
Captain Pinkies, a Sinner, is dead.
P.S. I have no idea if coins were in use in 17th century Boston, but that’s how I determined the lynchee.
Anyway, it is Night 2. Owing to the complaints, there is now large quantities of smuggled and/or homemade moonshine in the Gathering Hall, all personally blessed by…someone.
Day starts Tuesday at Noon.
Well, that changes things immensely for me. I’ve mostly suspected that paul is a Sinner, but I have a hard time believing that a Sinner would put Hester in a tie for the lead at the last moment.
Woo hoo! That worked out nicely. Pedescribe, I hope it also solves your substitute problems.
I’m not sure it changes anything… paul claimed that his vote had been bought, remember? So if he’s telling the truth, “his” vote doesn’t say anything about his motivations.
Unless peeker was going to replace Pinkies, and pede already sent him the Sinner PM (which likely contains information non-Sinners shouldn’t have).
I also note with interest that despite being the main character, Hester Pynne’s game-role is described as simply “A sinner” (without any indication of being the “alpha sinner” or whatever). Perhaps the game did start with only one? Good news, if so.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Ok, I still find him suspicious for my previously stated reasons.
Woo Hoo! All’s well that ends well, I guess.
Who’s up for Moonshine??
Ok.
**
Two immediate Things here:**
Is Peekers going to replace Freudian still?
We are no better off than we were. Paul is still with us, and we have the NK still to happen.
Yes…maybe. He still has to get back to me.
:bleached:
Hey, I’d be offended to NOT receive a Meeko vote at some point during the game.
Well, I have nothing to say about 2 and 3, as they seem fairly useless to comment on.
As for 1, I don’t think I’ve been particularly “bandwagony”
On Day One, I went alone and pushed for the “lynch the lurker” strategy, which seemed to have kicked in rather late in Day Two. I was the only voter for Captain Pinkies on Day One and even switched away from the bandwagon vote of Spurious George.
On Day Two, I voted for paul. I wasn’t the first, but I was 2nd/3rd(no idea which). I’d hardly call it a bandwagon.
Anyway, everyone attracts votes eventually, so no problem. I’m a pure townie, by the way, if you want to know my status, though I suppose everyone says that when asked.
Well, we haven’t won the game yet, if that’s what you mean. And I’d have rather seen a Blackheart die than a Sinner. But I have a hard time seeing the lynch of a Sinner as being a bad thing.
And Thing Fish, of course I don’t have any moonshine! Perish the thought! But here’s some water I just happen to have in a hip flask. Why yes, I do carry water around in a hip flask… Why, what else would one use such a flask for?
