Gee, how dya think that’ll go?
I have no idea which thread is the best place for this, so I just went ahead and picked one.
RFK Jr is now very interested in your teenage son’s sperm.
This is not at all weird and disturbing, no sir.
He seems quite … um … regionally-focused:
So, if you can get past that (I really can’t), it’s pretty on-brand.
I’m reading social media posts from people after the protest. There was a lot of activity and lot of making fun of Trump. But a good number do not see a way out of this. We still have a lot of Trump supporters and it is only the swing states that might start moving left. But it is never going to go to the point where we have the senate votes to impeach and remove after 2026. Who knows, Trump might sue every single senator. What could they do to resist? They do not have the cash and Trump seems to get hundreds of millions from just asking.
The conclusion from many is that the constituion has failed. Putting all of the “state” under the president was a mistake. No emoluments clause is eve going to stop Trump.
We are unlikely to see any military action. Generals will just refuse and will then be fired. Evey general can be replaced by a new Hegseth.
I and most of our politicians do see the end: 2028. But too much destruction till then.
The estimate for the ballroom Trump wants to be built is $250 million. But that’s okay, because he says it’s going to be paid for by “donors”. In fact, the destruction started just the other day, so we’re now committed to this.
And now as of yesterday, he’s going to be suing for $230 million dollars, because the DOJ had the temerity to investigate his crimes.
The obvious inference is that he only got $20 million in donations but he absolutely has to have his big boy ballroom, so now we’re being expected to pick up the rest of the tab.
Given everything you said before, I cannot understand you (or others) believing that 2028 will be some sort of end to the current criminal regime.
If he can override absolutely everything from now to 2028 as you and the others seem to assume, he can surely override the 2028 election too.
Every incremental extra-constitutional outrage between now and then is lowering the remaining barriers they have to overcome to prevent, or control the outcome of, that election. We’re 9 months ~=20% of the way into the 4-year leadup to Nov 2028. There’s a LOT of game left to play, and they utterly control the ball.
And will he turn out to have bigger balls than anyone else?
Is it normal for a person who is charged with felonies but is later not found guilty or the case is thrown out to be compensated for the cost of his defense?
“Normal” is far from the correct metric to evaluate anything happening with this president and his administration.
And he’s not ashamed to admit how corrupt it all is.
Honestly, the most amazing part of this is his restraint. He’s got his hand on the money fawcett, and he’s only asking for $230 million? Why not billion, or trillion? 230 trillion, and the US owes him money for the rest of eternity, he just goes and dips into the treasury whenever he wants. Why not? All the people making the decisions are his lackeys.
I think this is a test. “How much can I get away with?”
If this works, if he gets the $230 million… he’ll be back at the teat in no time.
When $230M is your idea of a trial balloon …
All I can say is “Nice work if you can get it.”
This.
RFK Jr: … our parents aren’t having children.
Umm . . . I guess that makes sense to the brain worm.
I certainly hope not! My Mom is 81, and my dad is dead! If they start having kids, it’s going to be awfully weird!
It’s good to be the king.

Even if there’s an election held in 2028, even if it isn’t gamed enough that Trump or his successor don’t win, these assholes aren’t going away.
Or as Louis XIV didn’t quite say:
Le Treasurie, c’est mine. All mine! Bwaaah haah haah!!1!
People was right:
The White House is demolishing the entirety of the East Wing to make way for President Trump’s $200 million ballroom, a construction project that is far more extensive than he initially let on, a senior administration official said on Wednesday.
The tear-down should be finished by this weekend, according to the official, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the plans.
