This is not behavior becoming of a FIFA Peace Prize recipient.
And it’s not just some rando on the internet. It’s the fucking president and leader of the fucking Republican fucking party. (sorry, feeling very sweary at the moment)
If anyone wondered whether the inmates have taken over the asylum …
I have a few factual questions about this part of Trump’s recent post:
Trump uses the word “reportedly.” That word implies that he got the claim about the perpetrator being pro-Trump from some obviously far-right media source. And it must have been very far right to say that. Do we know where Trump got this idea?
And is it true that a person alleged to have killed the Reiners is a Trump supporter?
Come on, man. He pulls shit directly out of his ass and says, “someone told me.” And no, it’s not true that a person alleged to have killed the Reiners is a Trump supporter. The person who did kill the Reiners was their son and it had nothing to do with Trump.
Every second of every day.
It always has to center on him.
The Reiner murder was nothing remotely political but he just has to insert his crazy self and gibberish into the conversation.
He truly is a never ending compendium of horrors.
Yes, he’s a malignant narcissist; as far as he’s concerned the universe revolves around him.
Alleged.
Yeah, well, I’ll lay odds.
It will never be accurately said of him: “He can’t possibly go any lower.”
They’ll need one of these to dig his grave.
As already stated above… no. Not even remotely true.
But I agree that Trump at some point thought this was the case. How or why - who knows. Pulled it out of his ass, or someone else pulled it out of their ass and Trump saw it.
But I think that Trump went with this because he wanted it to be true. He wanted to stoke the stochastic terrorism. To show that his violent MAGA army will kill for him. This is his dream scenario.
I don’t think trump thought anything like that. IMHO it was purely a case of
His M.O. is to approach every event as an opportunity to aggrandize/promote himself and criticize, insult, hurt, put down, and if at all possible, destroy someone else in the execution of that. And I do mean execution. There are no benign or even neutral actions/behaviors in his world. EVERYTHING is win-lose–even a handshake–and for him to win, somebody else has to lose. Pretty basic. I’m not sure even one-celled creatures operate on this principle.

Accent on ‘awful.’
From speech last night:
If Trump isn’t lying, that’s a felonious violation of the Antideficiency Act. I’m not sure why this isn’t being widely reported as such.
What is being reported is this:
Trump rebrands Congressionally-approved troop housing subsidy as ‘warrior dividend’ bonus
Problem is, Trump promised “every soldier” the money. But housing subsidies are for military members who do NOT live in government furnished barracks. Paying $1,776 to a soldier in a barracks is Trump and Hegseth looting the Treasury to send money to a favored constituency.
Trump and Hegseth looting the Treasury to send money to a favored constituency.
You say that like it’s a bad thing.
Another hour, another violation of law.
Kennedy Center board votes to rename it ‘Trump Kennedy Center’
It was originally named the National Cultural Center – by law
S.3335 - National Cultural Center Act
Then, in 1964, Congress passed a law changing the name:
20 USC CHAPTER 3, SUBCHAPTER V: JOHN F. KENNEDY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
Now the center board, chaired by Donald Trump, decides the name is up to them, not Congress.
Trivial? Yes. A lot of the steps, along the road to full dictatorship are trivial, by themselves.
At least with a new name it will be easy to tell when the place was a classy center, and when it became enshittified.
And unlike the gulf of Mexico being “renamed”, he cal actually put his name on the side of this one.
I’m really looking forward to stripping his name off everything 3.5 years from now. And removing those ridiculous plaques. (and ballroom)
