The current second Trump administration: a compendium of horrors

Moderating:

This is really far off topic now. I’ve allowed a lot of leeway in this thread, but Twitter for other media is not happening.

Stay on topic on Trump’s administration please.

That’s 100% a fake. It’s not Trump’s writing style at all., and it’s already been community-noted as such.

THIS, on the other hand, is legit;

“I’m safe”? What an odd thing to say.

I think there are a few things we can deduce from this;

  1. The “President Musk” jokes are REALLY getting under his skin
  2. He doesn’t actually understand the jokes and thinks people are saying that Elmo is somehow going to run for president against him
  3. JD Vance is going to be absolutely miserable for the next four years

The 3rd one sounds good at least.

Hmmm looks like Elon Musk filling his buddies for leading the AI/crypto policy under Trump.
Both David Sacks and Sriram Krishnan worked/helped Elon during the Twitter transition and will now lead the team for AI/crypto policy making.

Who?

“I don’t know anything about him. Maybe he got the coffee once.”

Steve Bannon:

I suppose that idea of making Trump veep would work. Those with more confidence in SCOTUS than I have may disagree.

”For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity," Trump said in a post to Truth Social

If you click on my link, you will see the Axios headline saying “Trump suggests he wants to buy Greenland.” But Trump today said nothing about how he would get control of Greenland. And I’m sure Trump knows by now that it isn’t for sale.

He’ll probably just issue idle threats against the Danes. But I’ll just point out that while the active dirty Danish military is small, all men in Denmark are conscripted for military training, and, according to Wikipedia, 2.6 million Danes are available for military service. Yes, getting them to the Greenland front would be a problem.

Nope. 12th Amendment.

Trump has been elected president twice, therefore he is ineligible to be vice president.

Notwithstanding the fact that he’s going to be the de facto vice president when the Musk Administration takes office next month, of course.

Well, he has his priorities, you know.

Trump now officially mad at his side-kick/coemperor Musk.

You’re going that far, you might as well keep going and attack Newfoundland.

Of course, that’s the endgame…….convince the US Treasury to make a big crypto investment with US taxpayer dollars.

This will provide the liquidity needed for all the big players to get out at the top of the market, then the taxpayers and some unlucky fanboys will be the victim of the biggest rug pull in history.

We just have to rename it NewfoundNewfoundland.

Bristling Trump. https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/23/politics/president-musk-trump-analysis/index.html
We’re going to have Elon Musk also injecting instability into how we tackle very complicated and important issues for our country,” he said. (Coons)

We have a winner. And how this isn’t completely obvious to anyone I cannot explain.

I’m intentionally reducing my awareness of matters political. Within that effort, I REFUSE to pay ANY attention to the dynamics between Trump and Musk.

Now the fucker wants to change the name of Mt. Denali back to McKinley. Because of course any acknowledgement of Native American culture must be quashed and of course there are no more important things to worry about…
