The current second Trump administration: a compendium of horrors

No worries; he (almost) can’t read. Besides the can’t he surely won’t read.

And really, won’t is the most certain form of can’t. true for most people, and extra true for petulant children, regardless of their actual age.

The Trump regime’s attempt to kill as many Americans as possible continues …

For those who may not have noticed, Trump has also pulled the US out of the World Health Organization.

Also, in what I’m sure is completely unrelated news, on January 27 Trump pulled the US out of the Paris climate accord, an agreement to curb carbon emissions signed by all 195 member nations of the IPCC. The United States thus joins the distinguished ranks of only three other countries in the world that reject the goal of reducing carbon emissions – Iran, Libya, and Yemen.

And that’s the most powerful alliance the world has ever seen! The best alliance with only the best countries.

This is now maybe old news. But in recent months, the only refugees let into the US are White Afrikaners from South Africa.

Outside of these people, only a few others.

This administration’s racism is clear for all to see. Afrikaners? Sure, come on in. Haitians?..“They eat cats and dogs”…

But we’re not supposed to call MAGA racists, right?

Not if you don’t want to hurt their racist little feelings.

I remember a Republican coworker a few years back who sometimes wore a “fuck your feelings” t-shirt.

Fuck those guys. Racist fucks.

Bondi, Pressed Over Epstein Files, Places Responsibility on Blanche and Patel

Her remarks, delivered during a closed-door interview before the House Oversight Committee, were a candid admission of her own powerlessness.

Pam Bondi, fired as attorney general by President Trump in April, insisted on Friday that she had little real authority in overseeing the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, putting responsibility squarely on her former deputy and successor, Todd Blanche.

Her remarks, delivered during a closed-door interview before the House Oversight Committee, were a bracingly candid admission of her own powerlessness that belied her nominal role as one of the most powerful figures in government. It was a noticeable shift from her past appearances on Capitol Hill, when she resorted to maximum-volume attacks on Democrats who raised questions about her performance or challenged her authority.

One would think that at the time she asked about the Epstein files and she responded that they were “on her desk right now” she might have thought to mention that she was going to punt them over to those other idiots and then forget the whole thing ever happened.

That’s the problem with being a pedophile enabler. No matter how hard one tries to deny it or push it down, it’s a darkness of the soul that just keeps growing and metastasizing until one day…

We all detest her, but it’s really crappy to suggest that people get cancer from being rotten people.

No disrespect intended to anyone other than Pam Bondi. People get cancer for all kinds of reasons but she earned hers.

With this bunch, I always work from the initial assumptions that:

  • If they aren’t under oath, they’re lying
  • If they are under oath, they’re probably still lying

Bondi … was not under oath.

Why not? Can she refuse to testify if she is put under oath?

IANAL, but … AIUI … if she were subpoenaed and compelled to testify under oath, she would retain her Constitutional rights – eg, the Fifth Amendment (against self-incrimination), along with her ability – given valid reasons – to 'refuse to answer on advice of Counsel.

But I don’t believe being under oath grants her automatic rights to not answer questions without her having such a valid reason for doing so. I think simply refusing to answer questions could render her liable to a Contempt of Congress charge.

Which – at least under this administration and how its Congress is currently constituted – would have absolutely no effect whatsoever.

They will get Roseanne Barr. it went where it was always going to go.

Taking time off Sundays all of June, not attempting to comment or “fix the internet.” But Trump is going to bust into our lives daily. It was completely predicatble that there is not going to be a concert for all local residents to enjoy together. There is in fact not going to be any JOINING from now till election. The 250 “celebration” will be a TRUMP RALLY.

I hope that both UFC fighters cancel. Or just go into the ring, shake hands and sit down and talk. Ya know like decent people.

The Trump administration is now claiming that the Presidential Records Act is unconstitutional. The Act was implemented in the wake of Watergate to keep presidents from destroying records and documents that might cover up illegal, unethical, or suspect actions.

The Orange Menace is so incredibly stupid that it makes you laugh and despair at the same time. Here he is, with brilliant commentary from John Oliver, criticizing the Obama deal with Iran that he tore up in order to start this tragic and pointless war (you need to click the speaker icon on the bottom left of the video to turn on the sound) – this is hilarious and well worth seeing. I can only assume that dementia has now fully possessed this absolute moron:

No effect is correct. Has any Trumpese artist ever suffered real damage for directly and repeatedly lying while appearing before Congress?

That headline… Come back to bite Trump.

Ok

Headline writers, especially for youtube videos, need to cut that out.

“Senator so and so absolutely humiliated on senate floor!” Then you click the video, senator says something dumb, senate floor portion of video ends, youtuber commentary ensues.

Not sure if this has been posted yet. Absolutely terrifying for those of us with developmentally disabled offspring:

https://www.npr.org/2026/06/20/nx-s1-5865100/doj-memo-trump-disability-civil-rights-institutionalization

The Justice Department released a memo this week that quietly calls into question decades of civil rights protections for Americans with disabilities and stirred fear and anger among advocates and families.

The memo, an opinion from the Office of Legal Counsel, argues that states do not have to provide in-home or community-based care to people with disabilities who need support. These services allow many disabled Americans to continue to live, learn and work at home or in their own communities, among family and friends.

“It is now the position of the United States government that people with disabilities don’t have a right to be part of their communities,” says Alison Barkoff, a health law and policy professor at George Washington University who led disability law and policy efforts during both the Obama and Biden administrations. "I can’t overstate how significant this change in position is."

Jesus Christ. A man with severe developmental disabilities is going after people with disabilities.

Everyone remember Trump making fun of that reporter?
