Well, it’s been an hour, and still no closing. However, I am still sending a letter asking for clarification. I examined The Peter Files’s recommended link, http://www.wackyneighbor.com/terror (It changed), and found some really funny stuff. It had another alert level parody, and an amusing blog.
btw, The title of this thread is **The Current Terror Alert Level is: Bert, or Maybe it’s Rush’s Moving Pictures album **. In that title, the words “Rush’s Moving Pictures album” refers to the same episode of Harvey Birdman that I refered to in my last post. The episode’s name was Blackwatch Plaid, which is a type of tartan. Now, normally kind of check are not normal colors to be used in handy, easy to read charts, but then again, neither are album covers, such as the Cover of Rush’s seminal album, Moving Pictures, which was the really high level on the alert chart.
A clip from it be found on Rush References In Pop Culture I am amazed by the length of the list. Incidentally, the above link does not go straight to the video, in case C K Dexter Haven was wondering.
Oh, and while this is a bump, to let people know it is not locked, here are some more references. I was hoping to find some references in short stories, comedians acts, or flash cartoon, but most of what I have found are visual humor, or newspaper parodies. Below are a few. Has anyone found any others?
Ridge raises terror alert to red, issues Pacman warning
Iraq’s New Terror Alert System
Oh, and the the Geek Terror Alert Scale goes from (in levels of intensity) from Dobby, to Dalek, Vader, Borg, and finally, Cthulu.

Vader? I mean, I get the Daleks, but Anakin? He is too cute. Well, as long as I am stretching, here is a paid political advertisement paid for by “Cobra Commander For President 04”
