4 was the most difficult to figure out. I’m counting on the lust of fellow dopers.
Also, being new in this game : to count as duplicated, must an answer be written exactly in the same way? For instance, at first I answered “mistresses and lovers”. Would “mistresses” or “lovers” count as different answers or duplicated answers in this case?
Generally, if you give two answers, I’ll only count the first one. Exceptions are made in the spirit of being fair. In your example, I would count them all the same.
“Mistresses”, “Lovers”, and “Mistresses and lovers” would all count the same.

Crap, I out-thought myself. I was thinking “Lionheart” when I answered #1 , but picked the wrong Richard.
Oh well, I still think the beheadings are the best part of being king.

Gotta protect oneself from the rabble, dontchernow. And their sight and stench, obviously.
A Frenchman who picks castle? I’d have thought having Versailles just around the corner would make you lean in the other direction?
And castles are dark, dim and have ghosts in the corners

#4: Sex. A reference to History of the World: Part I
#9: The husband or wife of the monarch
Speaking of answers that should count the same – I say “salary” should be the same as “wealth,” “the money,” “the pay,” etc., for #4 .
twicks, who said “salary”
