The Detroit Lions

I didn’t know they were trying to move the Lions off of thanksgiving. Sounds like another stupid marketing idea. I think they should leave it, it works, people like them. There’s nothing better than stuffing myself, laying down in front of the tv and watching the Lions lose another game on national TV-oh wait, except maybe watching the Cowboys lose.

If they want to move something on Thanksgiving, they should move Madden off of it. he can take that 6-legged turkey and …I bet it would fit too.

As far as being a Lions fan, we all have our cross to bear.

Life-long lions fan here. I have a couple of points

  1. I agree. the Cardinals can share in our misery. they are truly as pathetic as we are.
  2. Whoever said it was a Thanksgiving tradition to watch the lions lose, you haven’t been paying attention, I think we’ve had a pretty good record in Thanksgiving day games. If only every game was on turkey day.
  3. Call me a pathetic optimist(come on, you know you want to), but I’m not ready to give up on this season yet.

Well, there is a sucker born every minute…

also, you must eat an early dinner to watch the lions after “stuffing yourself”. I always eat after I get home from the game.

Shibboleth, the problem for Lions fans is that we can’t wait for the owner to die and be replaced. The team is owned by the Ford family. It just gonna get passed down to the next Ford idiot. (I should say I’m partial against the Ford’s, my dad worked for GM)

The Lions are just a cog in the Ford conglomerate. They are probably never going to need the money that the sale would generate. Not that the sale of the Lions would generate that much money anyway.

It’s like that guy who owns the L.A. Clippers. He just likes to show people, “look I own a pro team, I’m rich!”

My 100th post. Yippee! To bad it had to be about how bad the Lions are.
