The dreamers are f**ked.

Which ‘deals’ are these?

As far as I can tell from the talking heads on TV…Trump wants a better controlled border (lets get over this pendantic wall shit)…lottery system gets changed…chain (ed…jeezus christ dems) immigration gets changed…and a few other things…which first… are all positions that IMO are worthy of debate…and secondly…actually have something to fucking do with immigration policy…

Passing the overall gubment budget? not so much.

And I suppose you have cites for the times when he has been overtly racist?

”Donald Trump’s Racism: The Definitive List”

And in general, when you lay down with dogs, you get fleas. Even if Trump isn’t personally racist and just, say, wanted his employees to br color-sorted for aesthetic reasons, or prefers hypothetical Norwegian immigrants because they smell better than people from “shithole countries”, he has given unprecidented government access and attention to openly racist people and organizations as well as having acted as an apologist for racist violence and overt bigotry.

But I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know, right?

Here’s the calculus :

a. Republicans : “it would be a shame if those dreamers all get deported but my core base is for it…”

b. Democrats : “it would be a crying shame if those dreamers get deported, but if we don’t make sacrifices and let the Republicans start the deportations, all the crying and negative news articles will cause the public to blame the Republicans.

The Democrats *say *they want to let the dreamers stay, but they aren’t willing to pay the Republicans a wall and a whole bunch of other concessions to get it. The way they see it, letting the dreamers get deported just increases their chances slightly in the 2018 election.

Is this about right? If the INS actually starts deploying arrest squads and pulling medical students and engineers and fathers and mothers and dumping them in the slums in Mexico (some of the dreamers don’t even speak spanish) it’s going to look really, really bad.

Don’t see why not, a lot of recent immigrants do. Apparently for some people a new citizenship produces an instantaneous swap in the spin sign of their Nationones (a fundamental particle related to Ideones and Kingones).

Here is an example of 19-year-old Manuel Antonio Cano-Pacheco who came to the U.S. when he was 3 years old of how the OP’s title can be true:
