The dress

I can’t believe there aren’t any threads here in GQ about the dress that people can’t agree about what color it is. (Sorry for the bad grammar.) I did do a search on the word “dress” for the past three days, and it came up with nothing.

Anyway, I just wanted to say this: Since I was very young, people have wondered, “When I look at [insert name of color here], does it look the same to you?” For all these decades, there seemed to be no way to answer this objectively, except for people with color-blindness. Well, now it seems that the answer is that there are at least a few cases where people do indeed see the color differently.

There’s a lively discussion going on in IMHO.

I’m definitely on the “Why the fuck is this stupid crap even a thing?” side of the issue.

I don’t see a question here. Since there is already a thread in IMHO I’m going to close this. If someone has a specific question about visual perception they may open a new thread. Please use a descriptive thread title.
