Well yeah. It’s like a right-of-way or things like that.
No timber company (or anyone else) is entitled to use your land without compensating you. That is, unless you agreed to that.
That’s the thing.
I’m increasingly out of the loop around here.
I’ll investigate but it typically goes like this:
Me..“what’s that happening?”
Them..“oh, Ma, we told you, you just forgot”
Me…"what? No one said excavators were to be here today "
Them…“Ma, go lay down you’re taxing yourself!”
So there might very well be a side deal or two, I’m not aware of.
