The Eerily Appropriate Fake Quote Thread: a CF Game

I think this thread belongs in Café Society, not MPSIMS, because it depends on literary (in a broad sense) references, some of which may require being explained. If mods. disagree, please move it.

The object of the game is to come up with a quotation, probably using a common idiom or cliché, and attribute it to a fictional character in whose mouth it gains a whole different meaning.

Four examples to get the game going:

“It’s been one of those days!” – Jack Bauer

“Well, it’s been fun trading riddles with you, but I gotta get going. Give me a ring if you’re ever down my way.” – Bilbo Baggins, to Gollum

“The butler did it” – Scarlett O’Hara, pregnant

“The robot monkey butler did it.” – one of the Dingellian boys, in David Gerrold’s Jumping off the Planet and sequels

The Maurice Chevalier advance-homage from Casablanca:

Rick: “I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue.”
Ilsa: “I wore red.”
Rick (singing):“Ah, yes, I remember it well.”

Johnny, to Senor Wences: “Talk to the hand…”
Winnie the Pooh: “Hi, Honey, I’m home!”
