Obama’s a parseltongue? (I knew Bush and Rove and Cheney were all Slytherin but I thought BHO was Gryffindor.)

Colin Powell summed it up to me better than anyone else has when he endorsed Obama:

Personally I’ve always assumed he was a liberal-to-the-point-of-closet-agnosticism Christian who knew that without some church affiliation he could never get elected. If this is true I have no problem with it (less than if he really is devout actually, I just hate that you have to pretend faith to get elected).

OTOH, anyone who can believe that he was either

1- indoctrinated by a biological father he knew for less than a month
or
2- indoctrinated to radical Islam by a completely secular Indonesian stepfather he lived with for a couple of years

yet was not at all influenced by the Christian grandparents or agnostic mother he spent far more time with has either an odd view of the human mind or else a belief that twixt Christianity and Islam the latter is by far the more compelling religion.

Pedantic nitpick: Parselmouth. Parseltongue is to English as Parselmouth is to Anglophone.

The right does tend to act as if their beliefs and desires are terribly fragile. Look at their paranoia over homosexuals “converting” their children. Or adults for that matter. Or their fear of exposure to leftism/secularism/the “wrong” religion.

How quickly we forget that his birth certificate is a forgery. I remember getting an E-Mail about this years ago.
His real birth certificate absolutely proves that he was born in Mecca which would finally bring an end to all this discussion about whather or not Barrack HUSSEIN Obama is a Muslim.
Well, maybe it is too late to warn any of you about this since New Hampshire just legalized gay marriage. :eek: Our country will not last much longer. It won’t be long before we see Obama fly Air Force One into a building.

NPR used the phrase “Muslim roots” this morning. Something about his Cairo speech, in which he “mentioned his own Muslim roots” or some such.

Not only that, he said “assalaamu alaykum”, and “my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaan at the break of dawn and the fall of dusk” and “Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed (peace be upon them)”, thus denying the divinity of Jesus and relegating him to equal status with Mohammed. He also said “The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements”.

Clearly, the man is coming out of the closet as a Muslim. There can be no doubt.

I am somewhat amused by those on the left who join forces with the extreme right who wish to either ignore or deny Obama’s self professed deep Christian faith.

It’s not like there’s anything I can do about it; being a Christian or lying about being one is effectively a requirement for being President. So he’s either a lunatic or a liar, neither of which makes me very happy.
