The end of Roe causes a huge problem in MO: An unrepealed law from 1973 making it impossible for pregnant women to finalize their divorce

Well, this is going to be a shitshow.

So we’re going to have women having to be in abusive relationships even longer.

Is America Great Again yet?

To the powers that be in MO, that’s a feature, not a bug.

I imagine the American Taliban will just come up with a law that makes divorce illegal unless the man wants it.

Don’t think it’s only in that state, unless it’s changed recently. But the women I know who were affected in other states (a little OT here) choose to give birth and were required to have the (non-father) husband on the birth certificate. In some cases, he wasn’t even aware there was a child. I know a woman now who left her husband a few times, most recently 2-3 years ago but he won’t cooperate in a divorce. So, not good for anyone all around, and these kind of laws are antiquated and just suck.
