Ha! I think it may take longer than until Monday to make sense of any of this. Dead hacker, people shifted around in the order (presumably DiggitCamara’s work); a claim of known-innocence; and the repercussions of yesterday’s vote; all laid out to be dealt with in the first half hour. And Inner Stickler hasn’t even turned up with the engineer’s report yet.

I doubt they knew he had a secret role - there was no such evidence in the thread, and a night-spy power that returned before the murder decision had to be made seems pretty overpowered.
That said, this seems like a classic WIFOM - either they killed a low rank to promote one of their own, in which case there’s a one-in-two chance of lynching scum on the first day and a dead-cinch lynch on the second (if you accept scuba and chronos’s claim), or they killed a low rank to cast suspicion on the three lower-ranking players so as to arrange a series of mislynches, in which case there is a 0% chance of lynching scum, and if you follow up and lynch the other one tomorrow you maybe end up handing the game to the scum.
Interesting that ColdPhoenix hasn’t reversed the arrest warrant on Chronos yet. Could be very handy to Scum to have a floating outstanding arrest warrant on a random townie, as it could hasten their victory by one day if they can maneuver one of their guys into the security chief’s chair.
(To carry that forward: if there are 3 scum, then with one more mislynch and a scum maneuvered into the security officer’s chair, they’d win tomorrow; if there are 2 scum, then they’d need 2 mislynches).
Yep. The arrest warrants can make the difference in a close game.
I wonder why Chronos hasn’t made an issue of the warrant yet? It’s not like he hasn’t been posting.
That was way back on day one. ColdPhoenix either doesn’t understand how powerful open arrest orders can be for scum, or is completely scummy. And I can’t believe nobody in the game has picked up on the open arrest order (particularly Chronos, although he’s being distracted by his shiny).
Nobody’s said the obvious regarding Diggit’s night action, either.

Thinking about arrest-warrant shenanigans.
Imagine that Cold, Cookies and Stickler are scum. Some time Monday morning, Chronos issues an order to promote Ichini (as he’s said he will do). In the meantime, Cold looks very likely to be lynched. So at 11:55, Cold issues an arrest warrant for Scuba Ben (for instance); Stickler makes the arrest. Cold is spaced and revealed as scum, Chronos is promoted to captain, and the list looks like:
1 - Chronos
2 - Stickler
3 - Ichini
4 - Cookies
(2 others plus ben in the brig)
Overnight, scum night-kill Chronos. First thing in the morning, scummy Captain Stickler issues an arrest warrant for whoever, Cookies carries it out, and there are now 4 players voting, and with a strict majority requirement, nobody gets spaced. Then the night-kill rolls around, and scum wins, despite having gotten lynched the previous Day.
Neat.
Well, this is turning out to be exciting. I wonder which way it will go.
