Is there any other name for someone who creates multiple topics with no points to them, than troll? Is this type of excrement any better than what the Pounders did a little while back, or is he raising valid points that require innumerable topics all starting with “The ethics of…”
And this thread makes you better than upstatic, how?

I think it’s a valid point if perhaps overdone. I wouldn’t do it that way because it pushes to many valid and interesting debates off the page. Now that the point has been made, I gues it’s acceptable as long as the poster in question doesn’t continue the trend.
It’s probably premature to be using the “T” word, but I may be wrong.
pricciar, you’re probably right, it’s just that I’ve seen this type of juvenile behavior too many times before, and I was trying to address the problem without adding to the post-count he so obviously craves.
Do you have a comment on what he is doing?
If I see any more of these I think I’m going to have to start an “Ethics of Shut the Hell Up” thread.
I understand why Libertarian started doing that, and I think that he was justified in doing it, and I also understand the parodying of his threads. On the other hand I agree that it’s gotten a bit out of hand, I’m not sure about the rest of you out there, but only one of the “Ethics of (something silly)” threads would have been necessary for me to get the joke. Oh well, at least it appears to have stopped now.
Still later, Gerald did a terrible thing to Elsie with a saucepan.
slythe,
I just thought you following his posting pattern did nothing to improve the problem, just kind of followed in his footsteps.
So, I just made that point, sorry I didn’t address what he was doing.
I think the first time it was done, it was funny. (I think Otto did it the first time.) If he was trying to say he didn’t like Lib’s threads, he could have started one thread to say that. All in all, I thought it was dumb and immature.
I disagree with him as well, I don’t see anything wrong with Libertarian starting his “Ethics of…” threads. I also appreciate him keeping the names similar, that way if I am in a mood to read libertarian thoughts, I click open the thread, otherwise I just keep on reading other things. I respect and applaud his decision to handle his sometimes off-topic meanderings.
