Pretty much. Dwayne Johnson is in bed with Disney - The Game Plane, Race to Witch Mountain, Planet 51, Tooth Fairy. That’s why you aren’t seeing him in Doom II or The Scorpion King Returns Yet Again, but you can see him as a comic villain in Get Smart. Good money for him.
Guess Disney isn’t the reason, as Dwayne Johnson is going back to rated-R films with Faster. He just likes to mix things up and collect a paycheck.

Except for perhaps Statham, I’ve never seen a film simply because of any of the cast members involved. And with a Metacritic score of 40, I’d say that’s a resounding No.
Rachel Weisz actually refused to be in The Mummy 3 because she was insulted the producers wanted to age up her kid to be 20 in the third movie.
She had a point, making Brandan Fraser retired and aging up their son made what would have been an OK movie really stupid.

Looks like it’s going to be pretty miserable. 44% score on the 'mato (that’s what I call Rotten Tomatoes because I’m cool. 
) and Jordan Hoffman, my favorite reviewer for this kind of thing lately, gives it a C+.

I’ll see it this weekend. I’ve been looking forward to it. It has been a slow summer.
Seemed like a good idea, but the last trailer I saw was cheesy. And not good cheesy. It’s like taking all your favorite foods and mixing them together in a bowl. More ingredients does not make for a better result.
We just saw it.
Very stupid, and I say that as someone who likes big, dumb action movies. The writing made * Commando* look like Shakespere. The editing was so fast that the action was downright boring. Stallone should be forced to watch the Bourne films to see how action should be shot. Jet Li could have been any random person. The Govenator was in one scene.
The only real highlight was Micky Roarke.
This thing made The A-Team look like Oscar material.
Funny, the Bourne films are my example for how action movies should NOT be shot.
