Fun bashing liberals, isn’t it Maureen? Esp Friday night, w a good brandy in one hand and the other banging the keyes. I like it, b/c it can show how trying to save the world from going to the drains puts it there. It can show how coerced social engineering, which in itself is pure coercion, destroys the world and the society. It can show how political correctness puts a wig of absolute correctness and a makeup of much more holier than you, holier than God. Why, hypocrisy got a name: Political Correctness smeared w shallow nicety and fake country friendliness.

Translation, please? I’m afraid I don’t speak Stupid.

OK, I haven’t been here long, but I have to say:
I am a pretty conservative person, especially when it comes to the US military and the bashing thereof, but you sir are a misplaced fleshy bag of genetic material.
What the fuck is wrong with you? You posit shit that is inflammatory and opinionated and cannot be debated…you’re certainly not helping “our side”, if indeed such a thing exists.

Well, at least he’s trolling in the right place.
And what I think it means, Marley? Let me tell you before you try an answer.
It means telling it as one would like it to be heard, not as it is. In short, political affirmative action. Objecting to this definition?
BTW, don’t forget, when detailed, it’s pure hypocrisy and cowardly obsequiousness when dealing with basic truths, like undocumented vs illegal, profiling vs law enforcement, exceptional pupils vs retarded, challenged vs lacking, etc., etc., etc…
[QUOTE=Ogre]
Wait, so are you saying that conservatism can only survive in a carefully controlled environment, and that liberalism will prevail, given any open forum of the discussion of ideas?
I never thought of it in precisely those terms, but I think you’re right! Thanks!

Hey, now, that’s not fair. We’re not all batshit crazy.
Ogre, liberalism can survive in exactly the environment that the namesake implies - wilderness, free of all and any restrictions of the mind and natural human tendency, and don’t tell me that humans have room to improve. That’s what they do for many years, no? And they’ll continue, w/o the ridiculous arrogant social engineering of the Left.
The brandy is affecting your ability to think. You just contradicted yourself.
But maybe it’s not the brandy.
And Airman, you oughta know I’m not Liberal (at least, not completely.) Danbar, you may ignore the preceding sentence. Feel free to be as stupid as you like.

In all my letters, I try harder than anything else to make myself clear. I try to state things as simply and unambiguously as I can because I find that that’s the best way to convince my readers that Danbar’s disquisitions are written in a peculiar doublespeak that is hard for the uninitiated to understand. It is requisite, even in this summary sketch, to go back a few years to see how Danbar’s remonstrations are not pedantic treatises expressing theories or extravaganzas dealing in fables or fancies. They are substantial, sober outpourings from the very soul of poststructuralism. To some extent, I am worried about a new physiognomy of servitude, a compliant citizenry relieved of its burdens by a “compassionate” Danbar. It’s hard to spot the compassion when you notice that Danbar’s shenanigans are a relic of an unpleasant, rude past. Now, I could go off on that point alone, but everyone ought to read my award-winning essay, “The Naked Aggression of Danbar”. In it, I chronicle all of Danbar’s projects from the snotty to the lackluster and conclude that Danbar’s idiotic claim that anyone who disagrees with him is ultimately neo-scary is just that, an idiotic claim.
A central point of Danbar’s belief systems is the notion that we have too much freedom. Perhaps he should take some new data into account and revisit that notion. I think he’d find that I can easily see him performing the following crass, pestilential acts. First, Danbar will reduce social and cultural awareness to a dictated set of guidelines to follow. Then, he will eliminate those law-enforcement officers who constitute the vital protective bulwark in the fragile balance between anarchy and tyranny. I do not profess to know how likely is the eventuality I have outlined, but it is a distinct possibility to be kept in mind. In closing this letter, let me point out that I would be remiss if I didn’t remind you that Danbar trumpets birdbrained exhibitionism laced with stingy antiheroism.

I find it amusing that you summoned him with your post #666.
He and VC03 are the same person, he had a username change

You know, I actually saw that, envisioned Damien from the Omen, and ran away from the keyboard for awhile after I ensured my sleeping family members were indeed alive.

Nothing is wrong w me, FoisGras, I just tell it as it is. It’s time you do it also.

please enlighten this aging military veteran that has leaned Republican in the past and is now questioning his “party affiliations” how you are not Barack Obama with a “reverse mohawk”.
