Please ignore the drunken ramblings of Ms. Persephone. At the current time, she can barely remember her own name, much less what she is posting. I, on the other hand, am partly sober and can honestly say that Cristi and Falcon are both really drunk and laughing their asses off, and the joke is not even that funny.
Okay, I’m past buzzed into drunk. I’m wondering if, like Homer, I’m going to look at this tomorrow and beat myself over the head.
And yep, I’ve reached the “giggling madly” stage of being drunk. Those who went to the last ChiDope will remember that I was like this after that shot Omni bought me. I’ve also almost killed myself twice in xploder’s basement in falling off a chair with no back. Which I ended up laughing over.
And yep, I love BabyGuy. Too bad he’s 20 years too young for me…hey Cristi, think he’d wait for me???
There were many jams kicked out this evening, Milo. We didn’t have drums, though. But the guys did truly jam on their stringed instruments. They even played “Freebird.” Twice. My husband sang the first time, and xploder’s brother sang the second. They didn’t have drums, so it sounded different, but it certainly didn’t suck.
Must…sleep…now…too…drunk…to…post…but damn, I had a good time!
Just got home from the party a few minutes ago. I thought I was mostly sober by the time I left the party, but I guess I wasn’t because I fell asleep in the car about five minutes after I left and slept most of the way home.
Again, I would like to thank Xploder and his lovely wife Beth for the great party. At one point, we had four men on guitars, jamming. It was pretty cool.
I only had three drinks the whole night, but those drinks were really strong. I’m sober now, but I know my head is going to be pounding by tomorrow morning.
Sorry I left before all the fun started. Especially Falc’s giggling. I know when I left, she was on her second cup of George, and I know that that stuff will kick your butt!!!I’m glad I just had a small cup of it, plus I had an empty stomach.
I hope to be able to see you again sometime in the future, Falc. Maybe I’ll get another trip to DC (with the military), and you can show me around.
I’m awake, I’m not drunk, and I don’t have a hangover! How about that!
Last night was indeed a good time. My children behaved, my husband played his guitar, I got wasted, and the company was great. Can’t think of a better way to spend an evening!
Since I’ve got plans for early this afternoon, I won’t be able to see Falcon off, but I am SO glad she was able to make it. She’s a fabulous lady, and any opportunity to party with her should never be missed. If you read this before you leave, Falc, I hope you have a safe trip home, and I hope you can come back sometime! ((((Falcon))))
Shadowfox’s husband sang a bit last night, too. He’s got quite a good singing voice! He does Frank Zappa very well! We’ll have to get him back here sometime, too! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHADOWFOX!!!
I fully expected to wake up today with my ears and eyes bleeding from the intense headache that I usually get with hangovers. So imagine my shock upon waking up and not feeling hung over. That stuff was frickin’ great! Got me sloshed and I’m not feeling sick the next day. You guys should patent that drink.
Glad to read a wonderful time was had by all. Although birthday girl and party animal’s (I have named shadowfox and falcon) mutism could be cause for mild alarm. Dem stubborn vapours will eventually dissipate I guess. Happy one again, s.!
P.S. and OT: Cristi, given that our musical tastes seem to somewhat coincide to the point of forming one of many indelible bonds between us (…and hubby;)), there is one CD I would hartily recommend to you, assuming that you don’t already have it: “London Calling”, by the Clash. Bit different from Fleetwood Mac:D, but thoroughly enjoyable. Was voted way back (some 10-15 years ago) by Rolling Stone as the best rock/punk album (ever?). Really didn’t take to it at first (probably wasn’t in the mood). Today, it’s one of my favourites! As John Lennon would say: “Take a listen!”
YeeHa! I’m glad all you Grrrrreat Grrls & Guyz hadda good time. Though, how couldya not. Falc is a good time magnet! Well, so is Cristi…and Shadowfox, Happy muy loco Birfday!
I wish I had my own jet so I could make every one of these get togethers, cause every one I’ve been to has been great.
And, Persephone, even with the worst wine product, you only become more transeffervescent. La!
I just re-read this thread…I notice that Cristi and Shadowfox BOTH apparently only drank three glasses of George. Now I made FIVE GALLONS of this stuff and there is NO way that me and Falcon drank it all!!!
Methinks someone may have been drunker than they thought. Of course, that someone was probably me…
First off, no you didn’t make five gallons. It wasn’t filled all the way, remember? Plus, there were other people besides us there. So nyah.
Second…as you can tell, I got home okay. Tired, but okay. I got on the plane, grabbed a pillow, and fell asleep. Didn’t wake up until we landed in Baltimore.
Thanks to xploder for having tbe party and driving me to the airport, to everyone for showing up…I had a GREAT time. And hopefully I can make it back next summer!
