The Far Side

I love the Far Side. I especially like the one with the cat in the pet shop with two wooden legs and a piranha in the foreground. Does anyone know where I can find this one online?

Youmayhavesomeproblems.

Anyone who likes the Far Side MUST get the book the PRE HISTORY of Far Side. I laughed out loud. It includes cartoons rejected and insight.

It is really worth it.

You could probably find the cartoon in a collection at your local library. You can pay the 10-15 cents for a copy and as long as you are keeping the cartoon for yourself, you are in the clear legally and morally.

Ummm… Bob, I don’t mean to rain on your parade, but you’re asking for a hyperlink to copyrighted material here. I’d imagine that’s ummmmm… against the law.

Sorry.

Not necessarily. United Media syndicate posts all their comic strips, such as Dilbert. So until we know for sure that there’s not a legal outlet on the web, we can’t jump to the conclusion that it’s illegal.

But, 23skidoo’s link kinda answers it for THIS particular case

Poo.:frowning:

I know.

Why do you say that?

When he typed that, it wasn’t just a response - it’s a hyperlink (presumably to a pertinent page). That’s what the purple means.
I’ve always been most annoyed to find that the Far Side isn’t available online. However, I get Dilbert and Mr Boffo mailed to me everyday. As far as I can tell there’s an entire archive of Mr Boffo at Ucomics.com, plus countless other strips. Dilbert comes from a rival comic-mailing group. Only a few strips aren’t available, and I’ve never been charged money yet. They do Calvin and Hobbes reruns too.

Plus, one of the great benefits of e-mail strips is that it lets you find comics you’d never otherwise discover. I am now a great Boondocks fan and have never seen them in the UK.

There are also strips that are only avilable online. UserFriendly is a good solid Pro-Linux one. Enjoy.

There’s also some hilarious Far Side videos and I think one of the bits they have in it is that one.

I know that.

I think I’d better close this before somebody gets it into their heads to post a link to unauthorized disseminations of copyrighted works.
