Episode 2x17 “There’s Fire”. Alan represents a woman who lost her job because she was a smoker. He loses.
And of course who could forget 1x17 “Death Be Not Proud”? Alan takes on the Texas High Court to appeal a death sentence and ends up watching the execution.
I don’t remember specifics but Alan also lost in “Breast in Show.” And if not for Denny’s timely intervention, Alan would have been shot in “Hired Guns”.
Alan took his share of losses over the years. Denny is the one who claims to have never lost a case.
It isn’t the lack of 100% law focus that is my concern; the subject is irrelevant, it’s how the characters act. They are not even close to realistic, even for a farce.
And absurd, yes, I grant ye, but absurd by itself is not funny, art perhaps, but effective drama and humor, not necessarily.
And of course I have to roll with it or stop watching; of course I have no magic powers to go back in time and change the scripts and refilm everything. But criticism is still valid, even after production of a work ceases.
Of course it is. I simply meant that there is even more of what you don’t like coming; the legal inaccuracies and bizarre behaviors get more inaccurate and more bizarre.
Do these ivory tower professional societies have any idea what the effect of this rule is? Do they have any idea how rude we look when we get done having sex with a client and then have to tell her we can’t take her out to dinner?
