The Feud: The new NFL season grows closer! by Little Nemo [Game Over]

What are Steelers, common thieves?

I think we only have 37 so far. Lotsa chatter.

Wow, I didn’t even bother. No clue.

I wonder, if not for Peyton, if Unitas would have been the obvious choice for the Colts or maybe we’re all too young for that. He’s actually who I thought of first, and I’m glad that AuntiePam put him down.

After Lombardi, my first thought was Bart Starr for the Pack. Oddly, I didn’t even think Favre. Starr was well before my time.

That’s ‘cause Favre is a stinkin’ Viking now!!!

  1. Kurt Warner
  2. Jim McMahon
  3. Jim Brown
  4. Roger Staubach
  5. Bret Favre
  6. Peyton Manning
  7. Eli Manning
  8. Ben Roethlisberger
  9. Jerry Rice
  10. Jim Zorn

I suspected that Jim Brown would be the Feud Conch. But Ditka should be. Just because he is Ditka.

Cowboys should be the anti-conch. so many famous names in that organization.

  1. Kurt Warner
  2. Mike Ditka
  3. Jim Brown
  4. Jerry Jones
  5. Brett Favre
  6. Peyton Manning
  7. Lawrence Taylor
  8. Ben Roethlisberger
  9. Joe Montana
  10. Dan Snyder

Damn, I meant to say Paul Brown. No idea where I got Otto Brown from. Wouldn’t make a difference though, as I miss the conch either way.

  1. Kurt Warner
  2. Walter Payton
  3. Jim Brown
  4. Troy Aikman
  5. Brett Favre
  6. Peyton Manning
  7. Lawrence Taylor
  8. Terry Bradshaw
  9. Joe Montana
  10. John Riggins

There are no faulty cards. If the majority gave Taylor as the most common answer, the people who said him would get the most points, even if he never saw Giants stadium in his life. It is not about" correct answers". It is about matches and matches only.

You probably mixed and matched Otto Graham’s name (Cleveland QB, late 40s to 50s, still holds the record for all-time winning % among NFL QB’s (57-13-1, .810) and Paul Brown’s.

Am I too late?

No, you’re only #41.

Note that I wrote “if it matters” because it’s quite possible it doesn’t. But I notice you wrote here “Giants Stadium” as if you put in Lawrence Taylor as a response for the Giants. You did not. You wrote Lawrence Taylor as a response for the Steelers. You should have said “Three Rivers Stadium.”

edit: dag i really missed the boat on the kurt warner train, huh?

I think a great 11th question to this feud should have been:

  1. Little Nemo, I can’t believe you left off the…
My answer would have been: the Miami Dolphins

I think you’re right.

Basically, I picked the Bears and the Cardinals because they are the two still active founding teams of the NFL. The remaining spots I filled in with the teams that had the most championships.

If people want and Dolores Reborn agrees we could do two more feuds to cover more teams. Then we can argue about which two don’t make the cut.
