The fix was in, apparently

Hillary is gonna skate. The head of the FBI came out and read a LONG list of criminal fuckups on her part. And then he announced that they weren’t going to prosecute her for them because she didn’t know what she was doing.

Let’s assume that this is true, that Hillary didn’t know the proper way to handle top secret and classified communications. That just means that she is either too stupid or too incompetent to be president. So any way you look at it, criminal, stupid, or incompetent, she is utterly unqualified to be president.

And the director of the FBI should be fired for incompetence, and possibly arrested for taking a bribe. But that won’t happen unless we get really lucky.

How is the Director incompetent?

He did explain, very carefully, in little words so people like you can understand, why it didn’t rise to criminal levels.

In Clothahump’s defense, some of the words had three or four syllables.

It is clear that the Republicans really do not like that the head of the FBI was supported by many Republicans because they knew he would impartial.

Really, it is even more clear now that the overall Republican plan in this election required that expected indictment. They got bupkiss and so as the Washington Post reported it the Republicans are unhinged and demonstrating to all why they should not be in power.

Because only by abusing that power is how they are expecting to govern.

Clothahump, Trump, Paul Ryan. Man, you’re in good company.

No no no no no no no no. The Attoney General is the one who took the bribe. The director of the FBI was the one who was threatened by the infamous Clinton Murder Machine.

Please don’t make us read Trump’s tweets FOR you.

Someone has to read to him.

:smack:

Yeah, damn, eh? 25 years of “investigating” the Clintons and you assholes still have nothing to show for it.

But hey, good precedents you’re setting. Quarter century fruitless witch hunts.

Now, how do you think the Republicans will take it if, next winter, the feds start “investigating” Trump and charging him for every one of his crimes? :dubious:

Just out of curiosity, is it ever possible for someone to disagree with you on politics without being criminal, stupid, or incompetent? Is there the slightest chance that maybe James Comey, who worked for Republicans and Democrats for many years, is an honorable man who just happened to reach a different conclusion than you?

There is literally no possibility you could ever think otherwise. But I’m sorry you don’t get to finally have some reason beyond blind hatred.

So does the OP approve of the proposed Congressional investigation of the FBI? Of Issa’s call for an independent counsel? Ryan’s proposal to deny her classified info while campaigning?

The thing about the law is its kind of objective. Comey said that had she still been in office when this broke, she’dve faced disciplinary action. You can interpret what that means. You can also interpret whether or not she had “intent” which is what the entire case hangs on. Maybe Comey just hates Trump? Maybe he’s impartial? Maybe he likes Clinton? There’s plenty of possibilities, we have to wait and see.

I especially like the fantasy of the director of the FBI being fired and arrested. I imagine the fantasy is that he should be shackled together with Hillary so they both ride down to the hoosegow in the same police van. Or possibly the gallows at center of town. The image represents everything I think of you, Clothie. And also the kind of world we would get if people were ever dumb and delusional enough to vote for far-right lunatics like the ones you seem to favor. An object lesson, as it were.

Actually, why don’t you tell me what you think that means.

Disciplinary action is entirely different than prosecution. I’ve been working, both active duty and as a civilian, with classified info for many years. I’ve seen people mishandled controlled and classified material on email literally hundreds of times. Many times they faced disciplinary action, which usually included a temporary ban on handling classified documents and retraining. None of them were ever prosecuted. In fact, I’ve never even heard of someone being prosecuted unless they mishandled documents for profit or for spying.

They hate him now. They most likely will hate him a whole lot more. Around, say, Thanksgiving.

So ignorance of the law is an excuse after all. Interesting.

Im not very well versed on the disciplinary procedures of the Executive branch. But that’s a very vague statement and could mean a lot of things. Anything from a stern lecture from Obama to being fired would count as disciplinary action.
