I was predicting that the Jay Garrick of this world would be dead, and he was taking her to see his grave. Which would still be pointless but at least would have the impact of seeing a gravestone with his name on it.
I get the feeling that the Flash will be making a quick time jump to the future, either at the end of this season or beginning of next season. Then he’ll see all the other speedsters. Or Cisco will have a vibe of Wally as the future Flash.
I haven’t minded Iris as much this season, partly because she’s part of the team now, not on the outside pining over the mysterious Flash.
But it is annoying how Barry won’t learn anything about keeping secrets. He kept his identity secret from Iris to keep her safe, but she was still kidnapped at least once before she knew who the Flash was. And the same thing happened with Patty, where she was kidnapped by the villain even though she didn’t know who the Flash was. So if Barry had been upfront about who he was, both Iris and Patty could have been at least a little more prepared.
That’s what I was thinking too. Or maybe that Earth 1 version would be in the hospital in such bad shape that he would be no use. But going to the park and pointing him out, and only then saying that it doesn’t matter since his DNA wouldn’t help was a weird way of showing things.
I suspect that in the season finale, Wally’s going to be racing when he gets hit with dark matter. That way, his months-long coma can be during the summer and he’ll wake up in next season’s premiere a speedster.
Barely. She doesn’t really get involved in any of it, she has nothing useful to contribute to their adventures.
