Alchemy’s metas were really due to Flashpoint. Where’d you get that the new metas were from a single source?
Considering everything that’s happened on Legends of Tomorrow, I’d bet that’s the source of a meta or two. In fact, they met a character in the first season who turns into a meta in the comics.
Valentina Vostok, who becomes Negative Woman. Since we didn’t see her die on the show, I suspect she’ll turn up later.
I hope they keep up the fun all season. This felt more like the first season. “Excuse me, have we not fought an evil Barry before?”
Also, it looks like next episode will
feature the return of the sorely missed Harry Wells
Also, I like the fact that on Gypsy’s Earth breaching is a crime punishable by death, but she can pop-over for a date whenever she wants. Abuse of power anyone?
If Vibe goes over there, she’ll be forced to kill him. So she has to come to him.
“This house is bitchin’” said by Joe West!
Are all of these CW superhero shows extra letterboxed?
The fact that the whole scene, especially Killg%re’s last line, is entirely a non sequitur otherwise.
Also, this episode showed the singular event that created the twelve metahumans the Thinker is collecting. Team Flash figured it out pretty quick. Now just to find the other ten metas.
Hazard is another great villain, that the Flash couldn’t just run in and defeat her. He tried and failed twice, the second time more disastrous than the first. Plus her power made for some great comedy. I daresay this was the funniest episode of the entire Berlantiverse thus far. That includes the Mr. Mxyzptlk episode of Supergirl and even any given episode of Legends.
Now were Barry and Iris’ misfortunes in trying to plan their wedding a consequence of Hazard’s power or just the writers having some fun? I think Barry’s saying, “I’ll marry you anytime, anyplace” was a setup for the crossover.
Cisco’s shirt was pretty random, but rather appropriate for the episode:
Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don’t make sense

The episode wasn’t just funny, it was scary. When the mother pushed a stroller into Jitters and the baby was endangered by Hazard’s powers–even though Barry could have saved the child, just the threat was frightening. Hazard didn’t even notice…or did she? (If she did, she’s much worse than she appeared.) I’m wondering if her powers could have broken the Thinker’s helmet or “thinking cap” or whatever.
Wonder if Cecile’s pregnancy was caused by Hazard’s power causing birth control to fail.
I don’t remember any long time jump, but that may be simply I wasn’t paying close enough attention. And her power didn’t start glitching large scale until the very end. I’m pretty sure it takes longer than 2-3 days to notice and learn. But I’m a guy, so what do I know.
Who’s the stretchy dude in next week’s preview? Could we be seeing the Elongated Man? They do seem to be channeling the Silver Age comics these last few episodes.
They did mention Ralph Dibny as a fatality in the particle accelerator explosion, but that was pre “Flashpoint”.
That’s a good point. Could Barry have saved the baby? If disaster had come, and Barry rushed off to save people, would Hazard’s power have manifested itself on the Flash? I thought they did a good job of showing Barry’s super-perception, something which is often forgotten about.
At that point, Hazard’s powers were very localized - if she had left the room, Barry would have been able to save the day.
I agree the Hazard episode was fun. The right blend of menace and comedy for the villain.
I’m intrigued by The Thinker. Interested to see where this goes.
I wish Hazard hadn’t robbed the bank. I think it would have been interesting to have a villain that is inadvertently causing all these terrible things around her, but isn’t actually doing anything illegal.
Also, that was the slowest slot machine ever.
During the bank robbery scene, I kept wondering why someone with luck powers would *need *to rob a bank.
Loved the episode, I like the light hearted ones, probably why I still can’t watch the Green Arrow.
I enjoyed Cisco’s shirt, gave me a surprised laugh.
I hope we meet Jessie and the Quicksters at some point. I wonder if Wally is going to start his own team as well.
