I read a rumor that Wally may be joining the Legends.

I’d like to see Max Mercury and Impulse both show up.

Iris doesn’t seem to have an actual job (maybe she’s freelancing an article or two a week for Picture News) and Barry is a police forensics guy…which probably has ok pay, but nothing astounding. So how are they affording that giant 3000 foot(?) penthouse apartment?
Oh, and the “This house is bitchin’!” stuff will refer to Joe’s new home.
On one hand, he’s remarkably overpowered compared to the rest of them. On the other, that hasn’t stopped them before.
Did you forget Barry does side work as the world’s fastest contractor?
Speaking of which, with 2 speedsters for sons, why didn’t they fix the old homestead back up? Both are handy.
Nate teamed up with Wally a few weeks ago after Rip had dismissed them.
[spoiler]Presumed fatality. Ralph Dibney is confirmed to appear in next week’s episode, titled “Elongated Journey Into Night.”
Plus … do people usually ask for a slot machine’s cherry to pop?
Joe already referred to his current house as “bitchin’”
Firestorm should be in the same league as Wally, but…
Stein has to stay on the ship for some reason?
Presumably, Stein is going to retire from the Legends to spend time getting to know his daughter and his grandchild since Victor Garber will be leaving Legends of Tomorrow to go to Broadway.
This episode was hilarious. Danny Trejo does ‘comically serious’ even better than Leslie Nielsen. Casting him as Breacher was a brilliant choice.
The guy playing Dibney was also brilliantly cast…short of maybe Conan O’Brien, I can’t imagine anyone looking more like Ralph.
Danny Trejo played the most menacing Josh in the multiverse. I like how the B-plot intersected with the A-plot instead of being mere character development and comic relief. (The A-plot by itself was already pretty funny.) I trust we’ll see more of Breacher in the future.
I am unfamiliar with comic-book Elongated Man, being more acquainted with Plastic Man. As portrayed in this episode their personalities seem to be quite similar. Is Ralph Dibny supposed to be like, well, Jim Carrey? I guess the writers acknowledged the similarity by Cisco trying to actually name him Plastic Man.
So Devoe was actually mentioned a couple times last season. Now were those just throwaway lines that the writers took advantage of, or did they actually plan to featue the Thinker from that far back?
Dibney is (in the comics) a better detective than Batman. His stretching powers are kind of incidental to the character. He’s nowhere near as wacky as Carry or Plastic Man. He was based loosely (very, VERY loosely) on the Dashill Hammet’s “Thin Man”.
There’s one minor continuity error (film continuity, not comic book trivia). Most of the episode, Dibney had a sort of bowl cut/bangs. But when he was fixing his gut, his hair was all big and poofy like Barry’s.
I’m surprised that Gypsy let Breacher get away with his shennigans. The actor was fantastic, but the character was just silly. Also…“Plastoids” destroyed his world? Bwah?
Heck, his stretching powers are literally incidental to his sleuthing: he didn’t, as per this episode, luck into being a super; he did the research and deduced the answer.
As much as I love seeing Danny Trejo as The Scariest Josh Ever, I was really hoping they’d go a different direction with Gypsy’s parentage.
It’s always bothered me that Gypsy’s powers are exactly the same as Cisco’s. And that she even *looks *like Cisco- I mean, seriously, they’re pretty identical.
I was really hoping her parents would come through a portal and Cisco would say, “Mom? DAD?! Oh crap…”
Another fun episode. So is Elongated Man a regular now?
It looks like it and expect to see Kid Flash move to another show I believe. I’ve heard Legends* or a new show mentioned.
- Here I think
It seems so. Unlike the previous two metas, he didn’t end up in prison. And it seems like it took four weeks for Ralph’s powers to manifest themselves. At least he seemed pretty freaked out until Caitlin managed to stabilize him.
“Bullet booger. Gross!”
But then how will Jefferson get his weekly Firestorm fix? We know if the two of them don’t recombine every so often, they get sick.
