The Flash Season 6

Kamilla was in Mirror S.T.A.R. Labs, a completely different part of town.

Clearly I should watch more carefully.

I’ll give you a pass, since the Mirror S.T.A.R. Labs sign was also reversed.

“THE FLASH” SEASON FINALE - Barry considers a risky plan to save Iris from the Mirrorverse. Ralph attempts to stop Sue (guest star Natalie Dreyfuss) from making a grave mistake that could destroy her life.

This actually functioned reasonably well as a season finale. Great fight with all three of the Black Hole metas turned Mirror Master minions. I especially liked the split screen to show three fights simultaneously, culminating in a reveal that the final split was actually a single scene. For once, the villain actually won, which serves as a great lead-in to next season especially as Sue has been framed for the murder of Joseph Carver. And that cliff-hanger with Iris!

Not even remotely the point of the episode, but I love Caitlyn/Frost’s wallpaper.

It was nice to see a villain only momentarily inconvenienced by the hero’s dramatic last-minute save. “Oh, no, Flash blocked my mirror shards. What shall I do?”

It did seem weird that Team Flash had apparently not considered that Faux-Singh might be an impediment to getting Carver to somewhere safe. “Oh, no. The guy who we know works for the villain, and who would naturally be informed about what we’re doing, has surprisingly turned up. Who could have anticipated that?”

I thought the Black Hole/Team Flash fight at the end was one of the best fight scenes ever shown on this series. The split screen reminded me of a comic book page, and I hope they do it again.

It’s interesting to have a “big bad” who isn’t out to destroy/control the world. She doesn’t even hate the Flash.

It would be interesting to have a crossover in which Eva learns about the villainy of Obsidian/Leviathan on Supergirl. Her powers would be a natural counter to them. (I know, almost certainly not going to happen.)

The CW announced its schedule for next season. Most of its original programming, including The Flash, is going to be delayed until January 2021.

It’s going to be a long, long hiatus.

I think they thought he died in the warehouse explosion.

When a police captain dies or disappears, there’s going to be a lot of discussion and activity around the stationhouse. Barry and his team didn’t see any such activity.

"‘The Flash’ Hartley Sawyer Fired for Racist, Homophobic, Misogynistic Tweets

This is sad as the Elognated Man was the best written character (followed by the last 2 seasons of Frost). And for once I was rooting for a wedding episode. It’s always hard when finding something from 8-9 years ago. Is that who he is, or is it who he was? A lot of growing up happens from the mid 20s to the mid 30s (and it’s not always good). Either way, it is negative publicity and I can understand the show wanting to cut ties.

I read some of the tweets and well, yeesh. They don’t even read like obviously dark humor ala James Gunn. It’s weird stream-of-thought racist ramblings.

Definitely disappointing. I’m curious if they’ll cut out Ralph altogether or just recast him, seeing as how he is a shapeshifter.

I guess we’ll never see the resolution of the Ralph/Sue storyline.

well, it was always a stretch…

I do think it was a horrifically awful attempt at dark humor by someone who clearly has no concept of actual humor. Yes and much worse than James Gunn. That doesn’t excuse it. You write it you own it. I also don’t understand how anyone in the public eye who might think something on social media in their past might be even slightly problematic hasn’t scrubbed that shit clean. I am hoping they recast it rather than screw up the storyline.

:smack: Boo!

In the wake of Ruby Rose’s departure, they are choosing to go with an entirely new character to take up the mantle of Batwoman, screwing up multiple storylines for the entire series. I’m not too hopeful that they’ll come up with a reasonable explanation for a missing Ralph Dibny.

a) Ralph gets framed for murder - so he assumes a new name and form (he can do that!) to keep out of jail until he’s cleared.

b) Oh my gosh. Ralph has been hit by a beam by Villain X. He can’t seem to go back to his normal form - guess we’ll have to get used to his new face.

c) Rhodes: “Yeah, things change - get over it.”

d): “Barry, did you screw up the timeline, AGAIN?”
