Example, in the Huxley’s Brave New World vision:
Everyone’s life is controlled, though Bernard is labeled a nonconformist for not wanting to take Soma.
Soma drugs used to be happy.
Promiscuous sex encouraged. Seperation btwn Alphas, Deltas, etc.
Totalitarianism.
You can be rational or imaginative, and please explain your reasoning behind them.
How about a short-term prediction? You will copy down the answers you receive and hand them in as your paper. Your teacher will get suspicious and do a search on the Internet, where she will find that you copied the paper from the SDMB. You will flunk the course and be expelled from college. You will find an exciting career as a McDonald’s employee.
I don’t think so. If you want “some ideas” to help you with an assignment, in the future:
Be upfront that it IS for an assignment.
Post at least a few ideas of your own first for discussion purposes and to show you’ve at least put a little thought and effort into it.
Asking for help getting jump started is fine. Bouncing ideas off folks here is fine. Just posting your assignment for others to complete is intellectual dishonesty on many levels.
