Lili, **McUNE **-- I’m having no problems with GMail; maybe it’s a specific server farm? or do the two of you have the same internet provider, despite the distance between you physical locations?
**Haze **-- I think the topic isn’t too *heavy *for a first lesson, but perhaps it’s a bit too “loaded” – unless you plan on bringing up “controversial” :rolleyes: topics through the semester, in which case it’s a good start.

Since we were awarded El Grande Contract yesterday everyone is in full on panic mode. When I say everyone I mean the men I report to. Silly Boys
Let the woman that knows what is going on do her thing (that would be me) and I am guarenteeing it will work out. I have a plan that I formulated and we all agreed on months ago and I am trying to execute said plan if you would stop FREAKING CALLING ME I would be a lot further ahead.

Gmail is being a bitch, and right when I’m trying to send out requests for recommendation letters too. Grumble.
Lunch, I’m able to get into gmail now. Oh and I could use a late lunch right about now. 
Gmail has done this to me before, usually it fixes itself out in a couple hours.
Another nice method I’ve found for joining rows, Shadow, is to reverse the first and last stitches of the first row. In other words, slide the last (newly made) stitch over the first cast-on, and voilà, the work is joined with no gap and no lump. You might try it sometime; it’s my current favorite.
I finished that job today in time to get it and, more importantly, my invoice for work for the last couple weeks, in before COB today. So now it’s time to collapse for the rest of the day; I am TAHRED. I foresee an evening of my feet up with a cat on my lap, watching television and/or reading and/or knitting. If I can stay awake that long. Which right now is debatable.
I am a good girl. I needed to report some stuff to do with my disability money, and I’ve been putting it off because I was scared, but finally did it today at lunch. MT will know how scared I get about dealing with that sort of stuff.
And the guy on the phone was Way Jealous of where I live now. Ha!
Otherwise, it’s been moderately busy but not completely crazy-making busy.

Out for groceries. Maybe I’ll invite some people over - I hate cooking for myself.
Ok, I just had to check to see if TNC had made his appearance yet. LOL We are a strange but loving bunch, aren’t we? I’m thinking of you, though, LiLi, so hang in there, he’ll be here soon! My daughter thinks 1/15 @ 3:30 PM, btw (although I know she can’t really go into the pool, because she’s not a doper :D).
And in other news … TGIFirday!!! FCM, I stopped off at the Safeway on the way home and got some chocolate chip cookie makings, so if you drive by here on your way to the party tomorrow, I’ll toss ya some tollhouse cookies, okay? Gawd, remind me to -never- go to the supermarket when I’m hungry! I got a bunch of unnecessary foods, mostly those good-tasting snack-type foods. Including some Fritos scoops and some french onion dip, which I need like a hole in the head!! LOL I’ll try to restrain myself though. I also got breakfast stuff, including some makings for hash browns. Guess I’m craving some carbs. Off to forage in my bootie for dinner …
And no, I -didn’t- mean that the way it came out!!! :eek: LOL

I ended up having a very nice day at work. Had a very crabby (this was personality, not pain) old lady who griped about everything, including the fact that we don’t serve soup and the fact that the toilet seat is “too” low, even though she refused to have the actual SEAT put down, so that she could sit down, and squatted to pee, facing the back of the toilet. Stuff like that.
Also took care of a very nice musician --he was great. I do like the variety of people I come across at my job.
No baby? Too bad.
