Me and my girlfriend have been having a discussion about the story where the old man grows a large veagtable. The story goes; the old man grows such a giant vegatable that he cant pull it out of the ground on his own, so his wife helps, then his kids, then the neighbours and so on until the dog and the cat help. The thing is I thought the story was about a pumpkin, whereas my girlfriend thought the story was about a turnip. which is it ? or are there two stories ?
Well, pumpkins don’t grow underground, but turnips do.
