This is a very welcome discussion. My wife replaced my Sensor with a Mach3; while it now takes me less time to shave, I find it more difficult to properly get my upper lip (right under the nose and bordering my lip) and chin dimple. All in all, a tie; both have good and bad points.
I figured the fusion was a bunch of hooey, but wasn’t going to knock it until I tried it. I’m still not sure, but hearing others’ opinions is good.
You know, I started to do this just now, and immediately had to stop. Why? Let’s just say that I’m still at work, and the shared bathroom is not a good place to bark one off.
From* The Onion*, which once again justifies it’s tagline as “America’s Finest News Source”, I give you the eerily prescient Fuck Everything, We’re Doing Five Blades.
I seriously used to work for this guy’s soul-mate. “Can you believe–a paintbrush that will fucking revolutionize how people view painting! We’re going to fucking kill those bastards at Wooster! We will take their fucking paint rollers and shove them up their goddamn asses sideways!.”
And this is why I now work on ballistic missiles. It’s a much more peaceful business.
One thing, though. I started with the regular Fusion and switched to the Fusion Power Razor after a week or so. I looked at both of them carefully, and really can’t tell what the difference is in the cartridges. But the ones sold for the Power Razor cost more ($27 vs $25 for eight of each).
For the trivia minded. The Cardiff Giant is on display at “Circus World Museum” in Baraboo Wisconsin. Now you don’t have to search for that missing piece of history.
The Mach 3 was the first razor in my lifetime that didn’t leave my face a mess after a couple shaves. Anybody that shaves and gets ingrown hairs, should give it a try.
My boyfriend’s roomate shaves his head with a straight razor - used to maintain his mohawk with it, but recently he shaved it all off. He is a real man.
One more vote for the Fuzion. I bought it (powered version) on SuperBowl Eve only because they were giving away two 2-Liter bottles of soda with it, and I was curious.
I’m pretty happy. It’s not miraculous or anything, but it’s one of the smoother shaves I’ve had, and I can barely feel it as I run it across my skin. Fairly pleasant to use, truly.
I tried the Fusion on my parts too but it scared the shit out of me…it was so unbelievably hard to keep a hold of, I was afraid I was about to cut my naughty bits right off
It still did a great job, and my legs stayed noticibly smooth for a couple days after I shaved. I was happy with it, though. Except for the fear that I was going to cut off my naughty bits.
