Much as I deplore many things done by Republicans recently, and the bile-spitting they’ve indulged in over the last few weeks has really made me want to see them lose, I can’t agree with what you seem to be saying here.
Your title, "The GOP Strikes Back!!! indicates that this is about something the GOP is doing.
It isn’t. It’s about something that certain members of the GOP are doing, not the GOP as a whole.
They may be wackos, even well-funded wackos, but until they are endorsed by the GOP, this is not a GOP action.

And seriously, look at the caption on the picture of the demonstrators on the gwbush.com website. That was certainly a GOP action. This may very well be, also. JDM
