So, let me add my two cents to **Elendil’s Heir’s **very timely reminder: all postcards due in the mail by August 15, but don’t think you have to wait until the last minute! Sooner than later is good!

I got three cards from silenus!
They are oldtime views of Redland, California. One is of the Lincoln Shrine, one is from the university, and one is a downtown street scene. My dad would love the latter, he can date movies and such by looking at the cars!

Mine went out from Cayman today.
As a curiosity, domestic rate for mailing a postcard is CI$0.25 (US$0.325) but international rate to the States is actually cheaper at CI$0.20 (US$0.25). Anyone else able to mail overseas cheaper than domestically?
Not mailing from the US. Domestic postcard is $0.34, international is $1.15.

I received the card from Cunctator today! A beautiful aerial photo of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House! And a stamp on it with QE II looking lovely! Thanks! 
I’m glad it got there safely. The stamp was the Queen’s birthday one.
I got TWO postcards from Fluffy today, and one had even been “graped” with a hand drawn picture of a cow. I think I’m in looooove! So, thank you so much. Between your sense of humor, the lovely photo of WI, and the extra effort you put into sending them, really brighten my day. You’re the bomb.

The photo of HM on the stamp was taken at Royal Ascot in 2013.
I had a bit of trouble getting it to stick down on the postcard because of that crease about two-thirds of the way down. I’m rather relieved it didn’t fall off en route.

Yesterday I received a big postcard from Cunctator from Australia with a mama kangaroo with a baby kangaroo in her pouch! That is pretty speedy overseas delivery. Thank you.
I put 3 of my postcards in the mail this morning.
I thought it was rather a cute image.
I got my first card yesterday, from blondebear. It was a postcard with a jackalope on it; he looks cute and weird at the same time (… and some googling teaches me that it is indeed, as I somewhat expected but wasn’t really sure of, mythical :smack::D). With it was a beautiful set of old cards from Carmel, Monterey and Pacific Grove, CA. Thanks so much, I love it!
My cards have been posted today, I hope they will arrive at their overseas destinations soon!
I put my postcards in the mail about 20 minutes ago. Expected delivery times to the US/Canada from Ireland are 5/7 working days, apparently, so expect them maybe the end of next week ?

I’ve recently been in touch with **Skald **at RhE to discuss the appropriate sanction for Dopers who neglect their commitments. That man has an evil mind and the minions to back it up. :eek: Just sayin’.
