There will be believers. There will be non-believers.
The first thousand posts will not make it seem like anything at all. Ten thousand posts later, it will still not be clear to the majority. I am not concerned by the majority. It will be many, many years before this will be seen as The Greatest Thread Ever, by the masses.

The question is… could Dopers create a thread so great even they could not outdo it?

This “greatest” thread (which nobody thinks is) has moved beyonda single poster’s control anyhow.
