Scylla, you are by far one of my favorite posters. You were also the first poster ever to acknowledge me on these boards, which means a lot to me personally. I have more respect for you and your posts than I can fully explain. But I really have to ask you to realize that you’re very, very out of line in this thread. Not necessarily in terms of your OP, but in terms of some of your responses.
Again, as PL said, your response to Uke was just scary. I mean, it’s Uke, for cryin’ out loud! I don’t think I’m very out of line when I say that he’s also one of the most respected people on this board, and you just completely lashed out at him.
In short, your actions here are very uncharacteristically mean (Again, thanks to PL, I don’t have to be original) and it’s hard to watch somebody that I respect so much here on these boards get this close to what is seeming more and more like a meltdown every post. So come back to us, and be funny Scylla again. Mean Scylla doesn’t seem right.

Jester, just so you know the history, Uke made a very personal attack on Scylla in the recent SUV thread, for reasons that never became sufficiently clear. Given that history, Uke is perhaps the one person in here Scylla has good reason to pointedly ignore. The rest of it is bullshit, of course.
I pointed out that he was starting a hell of a lot of dopey-assed threads, and that he could more profitably spend his time doing other things, like reading a book to his kid. He chose to read that as me calling him a “negligent parent” and went into one of his patented sniffy fits.
I should have suggested he that practice sea chanties on the fucking concertina or polish one of his stupid cars.
Yep, I’ll concur with you there, Uke. It’s probably best to leave people’s children and their parenting skills out of a good flame. I can see why he took it personally.
