The Happiest Place On Earth Is Gonna Get A Little Happier. Dammit!

What are the specific dates? Mr. Pol & I will be down there starting 11/4…

Yes, it’s plastic, yes, it’s money-grubbing - but it’s a VACATION dammit! An we will be staying at one of the “tacky” All Star Resorts, too - so there!

So much for the stop button - Mods, please remove first double-post…

First, to answer the fair Esprix, if Disneyland is The Happiest Place on Earth[sup]TM[/sup] then, by logical extension, Disneyworld must be The Happiest World on Earth[sup]TM[/sup], n’est pas? Or maybe not.

Rue I would be jealous, since Florida is my adopted Motherland, but we will follow you down a few weeks later. Say “hi” to my family if you run into any of them. But as you can see from many of the responses we Floridians mostly try to avoid Dizzyworld. Eventually the Olethlings[sup]TM[/sup] will figure out that it’s very close to Grandma, Grandpa and various Titas and Titos, so we will have to break down and take them. But we have avoided it thus far. We are from Pinellas county, home of the Gulf coast beaches, and most of our visits revolve around beaches and seafood, small local parks, Lowry Park Zoo (in Tampa), the Florida Aquarium (which everyone says sucks but the kids like it) and visiting friends and relatives.

[sub] Does this now mean no weenies for Halloween? [/sub]

Are you taking Soupo but leaving Katcha behind? That hardly seems fair. Are you doing the 15 hour drive or the 2 hour flight. I recommend the two hour flight if you can afford it.

Our trip is actually a family Thanksgiving and will be the closest that all of the grandkids on my side have ever gotten to all being in the same place at the sametime. My sister and her husband won’t make it down from Alaska, since her daughter is only a few weeks old and they can’t afford it. But great Grandma is also flying in from California, the birth Motherland. Ironically she lives close to the other Disney thing and we never take the kids there, either. If they only knew…bwah-hah-ha!
[sub]PS How can you go to Disneyworld if you’re not made of money?[/sub]

Working back from Shibb
Wienies are a “Go!”. Repeat: wienies are a “Go!”

We’re taking Soupo, but Katcha stays in a locker at the airport. A little kibble and a water bottle, that plastic wheel dealy for exercise… no wait, that would be a hamster… Katcha bunks with Grandma and Grandpa DeDay for the duration.

Poli, our plane (yes our plane, we’re chartering one and only letting our 150 closest friends join us) touches down on the 3rd, and we’re off again on the 8th. We overlap there, and we’re in the All-Star Music Resort. (Bwa-ha! babekitten! DeDay’s Inn! Ow, my side… it hurts… really, now I need someone to rub it…) Dunno the room, but maybe we can meet up. I don’t know what your schedule looks like, but ours is sorta hit-or-miss.

Really? It’s Disneyland that’s the happest, Esprix? Huh, go fig. Maybe I meant they were going to be even happier because we were going to Florida instead… would you buy that?

Man, my record of painstakingly researched posts is now tarnished. A blemish I will not soon live down. I feel besmirched, I must go for a bubblebath.
-Rue.

hmmmm, Rue in a bubblebath…

There’s a mental image I’m not certain how to deal with…

The only downside to the whole bubblebath experience, is you have to keep an eye on your duck. If I could get someone to watch my duck for me, I could bubblebathe without a care.

Yup, us manly-men, who are completely secure in our masculinity, don’t mind smelling of “Bubble Fun Berry” now and again.
