I’m going to be graduating in May. That means that I need to find a job. I was hoping that I’d never need to grow up, but it seems inevitable. Actually I have a job interview tomorrow morning and another on Friday, hopefully they’ll go well. Ah well, I better get to bed so I’m awake for the big interview tomorrow. I don’t think that nodding off makes a good impression on an interviewer.
**Where do you go to school? **
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Where is it located?
Troy, NY
A nice little ghetto town.
**What type of school is it? **
Private technical school. A lot of engineers and architechs, and a bunch of computer-related majors. About 5000 undergrads, and 2000 grads.
**Do you like it? **
Definetly. For being a nerd school, there is a suprisingly large social life.
**What year are you? **
Sophomore.
**What is your major? **
Undeclared engineering. I have to declare by this spring, and will choose either electrical, or electric power.
Current (PhD): Boston College (hello, Serendipity!)
Where is it located?
Honolulu, Hawaii… kinda nice place to be
Lincoln, Nebraska… staid midwestern college town
Chesnut Hill near Boston… and I love Boston!
**What type of school is it? **
1 & 2) State schools, nothing too special. UH was basically a commuter school. NU exists to give the football team a university it can be proud of.
3) Ultra-expensive private school, a lot smaller than I’m used to. Thank goodness for that fellowship.
**Do you like it? **
I like BC the best. I wish I had spent my undergrad in Boston instead of a commuter school in Hawaii. Then again, I’m sure many Bostonians would rather spend the winters in Hawaii.
I went to Hawaii on a football scholarship… would’ve been nicer to go to Nebraska for that and make my millions in the NFL
**What year are you? **
Working on my PhD… should take a while.
**What is your major? **
UH: History, NU: MBA, Accountancy emphasis, BC: Accountancy
