I’m not going to link to a bunch of gossip sites, but even filtering through the exaggerations Elon Musk has a long history of deeply creepy, controlling, and manipulative behavior going back to when he was dating his first wife and through the recent past where he ignored one mother of several of his children asking for a medical release to perform some important procedure. His adorationists like to explain it away as part of his (claimed) autistic spectrum condition even though he has never actually presented any evidence of being diagnosed with ASD, and this scarcely excuses the way he uses his enormous legal team to suppress information, ‘fix’ sexual and other harassment complaints, and SLAPP-sues the living shit out of anyone who threatens his business interests or his reputation.
It should be noted that Elon comes by it ‘honestly’ in the sense that his father also engages in some morally pretty suspect behavior like having children with his step-daughter. And regardless of what you think about Elon’s supposed ‘genius’ at business and technology, his self-promoting (and inevitably self-serving) charity, or his political views, in his personal life he is just an incredibly big piece of shit who treats people like garbage if they don’t serve any purpose or fail to entertain him.
I had a bit of an inside view to this going back over 15 years ago, and frankly the only surprise is that it took this long to come into full public view. I guess he really shocked people with the Nazi salute (and did it twice just to make sure that everyone got the ‘joke’) but all I could think is, “Yeah, now other people will see it, too.”
