So, how ‘bout that Hegseth character? What a weird, insecure asshole, amirite?
Medicate.
Hey! No derailing the thread!
Indeed, I think the club name perfectly encapsulates Hegseth’s infantile concept of masculinity.
I stand corrected, although the Calvin & Hobbes version where they get into fights over trivial nonsense, question each others’ patriotism and then award themselves medals for bravery afterwards is also very on-brand for Hegseth and company.
“I’ve never fought in battle, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night …”
Hopefully, my family thanksgiving will be less fractious than this thread.
I thought the thread title referred to the Three Stooges. But Google tells me their short was just called “The Woman Haters Club”. Still, fits Hegsdeth because he is more of a stooge than a little rascal.
It was definitely called the He-Man Woman Haters Club in the film even if the actual title of the film is different. I can remember seeing it as a kid.
And that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title.
But, but, He-man loved She-ra, in a strictly brother/sister way.
ETA, by the powers of Greyskull, I reanimate this thread!
Yeah, I knew the title from the Little Rascal’s movie. It’s a sign on their clubhouse. And it ends with them adding “Women Welcome” at the end.
When I was checking the wording, Google hallucinated that they changed it to We-Man Woman Lover’s Club for some reason. So I had to go check.
When my brother was about that age, he started a “boy’s club” with some of his friends, and he wrote on a support pillar in the basement, “Our Motto: Girls We Hate, In God We Trust.”
I don’t know if it’s still there, but in the meantime, he’s been married to one for more than 30 years, and is the father of two of them.
that’s their hypocrisy in action–during COVID they demanded “body autonomy” to reject vaccines, etc. Then they turned around and denied women “autonomy” over their bodies, i.e. abortion
“special rights for me, none for thee”
It should be the Republican motto.
SPLITTER!!!
