The only deck I’m interested in is a gagetzan miracle Yogg.
I’m seriously uninterested in this new set.

I forgot about Token Druid. That’s probably going to crush it day 1 as well.
I haven’t put a lot of thought into it but after taking a look at all the new cards here is what I expect to see in the beginning:
Since everybody gets C’Thun and priest gets the most support cards, I expect a lot of priests, even more annoying than before. I don’t know if they will be particularly strong, just that I expect to see a lot of them because of the C’Thun synergy.
Warrior looks at least as strong as ever.
All the new little nuisance taunt minions and a bunch of Divine Shields make it likely there will be a bunch of Paladins around. Blood Knight might be a useful card again.
Freeze Mage didn’t lose anything; there will probably be a bunch of them around … and it looks like there may be some interesting stuff for Tempo Mage to try out.
Shaman is my prediction for the new top-of-the-heap … don’t know if they will rocket to the top on day one or if it will take a little while to work things out but it looks to me like they got the goods this time.
The Molten Giant nerf means no Handlocks around. Druids take somewhat of a hit and I expect it will be a while before they start appearing in any numbers just because some other classes look stronger right now. Rogues will be missing, too, and Hunters will need some time to explore the new meta.
Technically, Unleash the Hounds got reworked completely (which people first thought was a nerf then realized made it much stronger than it had been), then got nerfed into oblivion, then got partially un-nerfed back out of oblivion.
Had a weird match where a guy dropped a Norzdomu, then played 2 curse of rafaam cards on me. I couldn’t play for the rest of the game. It would show my curse animations, then my turn would be over. The animations didn’t last 15 seconds, and I had a reno to drop and cards to play, but I never had control again. I had an end turn button displaying, as if it were my turn, but he was putting out cards still and I couldn’t do anything. I wonder if that was a deliberate exploit.
The original unleash gave all your beasts charge and +1 attack for 1 mana. The rework was a nerf compared to that I think. No one played the reworked card so they buffed it by reducing the mana cost from 4 to 2, and then they nerfed it by pushing it back up to 3.
Yeah it’s an exploit. Apparently you can click on the curse cards when the animation plays to dismiss it. Disguised toast did avideo about it.
Right, I misremembered the order in which it went 4 -> 2 -> 3. (thought it was 2 -> 4 -> 3)
I remember the days of 2 mana UTH with 2 mana Buzzard. God that was terrible.
Nerfs are live. Before the patch I had sixteen decks - now I have eight complete decks and seven with 1-7 cards missing, and 5,000 dust. I might re-craft the Knife Jugglers since it was brought down to fair and not nerfed into the ground, but everything else is staying dust.
Ugh, I can’t bear dusting cards that aren’t extras, although the bonus dust is slightly tempting. I like having a complete set plus you never know when it might be “changed” again, or the meta will change to make a card useful again (and classic cards especially now will always be potentially relevant to Standard), or you could use it in a Tavern Brawl at the least, or a tough specialized heroic adventure boss fight. Just never seems worth it to me to dust anything, but in this case, I don’t know.
And taking away the “Sorry” emote was perhaps the biggest, worst nerf of all.
Griefing people with emotes is really more in the timing than the particular emote you choose anyway. Where the timing is “as frequently as possible” and the emote is “Well Played!” or “Wow!”
That’s odd. Nerf isn’t live for me yet.
Are you using a smartphone? I saw someone suggest that their patches tend to roll out a few hours after the others.
It got a really good 1-drop, a really strong piece of removal, Xaril is awesome, and… is probably still gonna suck, yeah. ![]()
Yeah, that might be it. Probably only the ones that have updated their client play each other with updated clients, and those still on the old client just don’t see the updates.
Does anyone have any decks that they really want to try out? I’m really hitting a blank here.
Aggro Shaman is the deck of the day – nerfs didn’t touch it.
Yeah, going on 2 years and still no really good reason to fix the way that card interacts with the game
I just did a couple of Warrior Arena runs to clear out quests pre-OG release, and I got two packs as part of my 5 win rewards. I guess this means that the new arena rewards are in (ie. Your guarenteed pack is from the most recent adventure, but there’s a chance of getting other standard-legal packs too).
On the one hand it’s less raw gold per run so fewer Arenas for us non-infinite players. On the other hand this makes Arena runs more profitable on a building-your-collection level. I’m pretty happy, but I hope I don’t get too frustrated getting OG packs for 6-9 months straight.
But seriously, my first run had a 58.3 tier score and I had to take (and draw every game) an Eerie statue on my second. Blizz just wants me to tank my Warrior win rate.
Ben Brode had an interesting stream where he talked about Noz. He said that the problems that arise with Noz are because of Noz, but rather because of the turn timer. Noz just makes the problems more obvious.
