The Hobbit Start of Production Video from the Set

Looking pretty good.

sweet!

Oh man I love hearing that music again! I can’t wait!!

Thank you. Now I’m all excited. Bag End! Sir Ian McKellen! Martin Freeman! I love his expression as they’re blocking the scene and he’s trundling in after the dwarfs with an armful of axes, looking bewildered.

Just as Bilbo ought to look in this scene. Gandalf has wished upon him thirteen dwarves and I expect Freeman to look woebegone and indignant.

One of those “dwarves” is extremely hot. The ripped one. Who he?

This.

Slim PJ made everything seem slightly unreal for the first few minutes of the video, like it was supposed to be familiar but somehow wasn’t, quite. And then the Shire theme kicked in and everything snapped into place. Lovely to see so many familiar faces - not just Jackson and Serkis, but all the old gang from the Appendices who we know made huge contributions behind the scenes.

And Martin Freeman is going to be the perfect Bilbo.

I love how the video ended:
roll sound
action
(pivotal scene)
green door opening
v/o “In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit.”
To be Continued…

:):D:)

Brian

I think that’s [Rob Kazinsky](Google Images"Rob Kazinsky).

It looks good! On that same site, I just found out that the Doctor will be a wizard…Sylvester McCoy is going to be Radagast. Cooool!

Thanks, jayjay!

So, how long do i have to wait, now?

Rob Kazinsky has left the project. It says it’s for “personal reasons” which I think means he didn’t get along with people, or hated being so far away from home.

According to a post on his Twitter page, he says it’s related to a health issue.

Drat! Oh, well. The muscles would have been hidden under a dwarf outfit anyway.

Yeah…I don’t think I’m quite ready for Tolkien-Dwarf fanservice, to tell the truth…
