Wow, it looks beautiful. I’m so jealous I could spit.
But for it to be 80K where I live, it would have to be a house the crackheads turned down because they didn’t like the neighborhood.

Ummm…
Lovely, but…
NO A/C? in Georgia?!
Check the electrical service - make sure it can handle the load.
Good luck!
Note: Marietta OH, not GA. It’s a small college and manufacturing town at the confluence of the Musingum and Ohio rivers is southeastern Ohio.
I noted that the MLS listing didn’t mention AC but I had the agent go over and check. There’s central AC in the place, a furnace downstairs to cover the house and duct work upstairs for another furnace if we want.
I will have to put in a washer and dryer, though.
I’m trying very hard not to hate you… That house costs 43% of what we paid for our townhouse
Sheesh. Sometimes you guys that live on the edges forget that there is an entire country in the middle.
$80,000 appears to be a good price for that house. It’s not, however, unusual in the great midwest. I doubt that Marietta, Ohio has many houses in the $600,000-$800,000 range and if they do, they are certainly on a grand scale.
There are many benefits to living in the midwest and real estate is just one of them.
Built in 1908? A complete, complete, complete home inspection is in order.
If it checks out, nice house.

Darn it…I already replied to this once!
My current house dates from 1868. I’m all about a close inspection. Though the price justifies some defects.
Killer porch, bro. Makes up for some of the lack of yard.
Who or what is that peering out the attic window in the photo?
You sure that stain is water?
There’s someone staring out the window?
Right now we’ve got an offer to rent the place with an exclusive to buy for 6 months while we wait for our place to sell.
We’re just haggling over the price.
Heck, I live just outside of Chicago which I consider the midwest and that house would be well over $400,000 here.
You’re gonna live on Wooster Street?
What ho, Jeeves!
But zoid, we live on the North coast!
I’m in Minneapolis. It would go for 350 at least.
Man, that and daycare for half the price…Do they need any Mac Geeks in Marietta?
Did you notice the all-ages tavern right down the street?
It’s called the PG Roadhouse!
Har de Har Har, Dinsdale. I don’t even READ those books!
Hey, I offered to give you an I-break-even-you-get-the-current-place sweetheart deal.
I did!
