The "How many would be scary" Game

While reading third graders papers at work, I thought of a new completely pointless game. They were writing about frogs, and a few commented on there were so many frogs that it was scary. So I thought about that and now we have something else mundane to post about.

So here are the rules:
A person picks a living thing and asks how many in the same room as you would there have to be to scare you.

Give an answer, elaborate on why if you so desire, and pick another creature.

You can be as specific or non specific about the type of creature as you want- “birds” and " dentists wearing bowling shoes" are both acceptable.

That’s about it
How many ** hedgehogs** would have to be in the room with you to scare you?

Hedgehogs???
OK, more than 47 of the regular variety, or just one of the Monty Python version

Now how about … baby snakes?

Humans:

One (1)

baby snakes? It would have to be Raiders of The Lost Ark proportions to scare me.

How about slugs?

I thought we were supposed to comment on the last one, then make a new one.

Baby snakes Funny you should mention that. That’s what I used to call my ex. Sort of a play on words the complexity of which was not fully appreciated. Hence the ex… Or maybe it was appreciated?

One was enough.

How about fwuffy bunnies

1 klansman in a room would be enough to be scary.

Do I really need to explain why?

I don’t know what a fwuffy bunny is, but I would reckon about 60 or 70. Bunnies are scary in mass amounts.

How about centipedes?

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS PEOPLE!!!

elfkin447 I’m with ya. I thought you might want to take a break from these “third graders” so I’ll be the heavy here.

Your taposeda comment on the LAST one, then make a NEW one… 'K.

Alright, screw the fwuffy bunnies I said that casue I used to butcher rabbits when I was a kid–Hey, we ate 'em, dammit. And YES they tasted like chicken .

OK how about ticks

Okay, I’ll assume the room is about 10’ x 10’ (jail cell sized for your entrapment pleasure).

Lessee, centipedes = 132; ticks = 167.

How about duck-billed platypi?

I think I’d have to say that any more than 10 duck-billed platypi in a room would be scary. They have those wicked poisonous spurs, and nasty tempers.

Alrighty. How about a shrike?

-Stil

Shrikes in a jail cell? If on perches, I suppose 5 or so. If flying around screeching, 2.

Let’s try hamsters next. Normal, fuzzy little hamsters, not the red-eyed, foamy-jawed, razor-clawed SDMB variety.

Hamsters… Hamsters… Never been scared by hamsters, but in sufficient numbers, they could run me nervous. Let’s say 70 hamsters. Yeah, the thought of being trapped in a room with 70 hamsters gives me the screaming-meemies.

Next up: dragonflies.

Dragonflies: At least 300 unless it was a very small room… or it was one big angry dragonfly.

Next: Parrots

Parrots. I can’t be exact, but five or six africans have proved tolerable. At the London Zoo, several dozens were scary, even inside their cages of little wire. Very loud, and in control. Who do they think they are, anyhow?

Excuse me, I meant African Greys and Macaws vs. dozens of miscellaneous other “large” parrots. That’s to say, a gang of parrots is no joke.

partly_warmers: Eh, it’d probably take 5 or 6 of 'em to get me overheated. Add another 2 to get me downright scared.

Next scary thing: Britney Spears

Um…four Britney Spears would probably scare me. After all, I can only think of uses for three, so the fourth would stand there looking all peppy and freak me out.

Labradors. The dog, not the people.

I’m sure I could find a use for that 4th Britney…

…but back on topic, I like degs. There would have to be at least 30 Labs in the room to make it scary. Unless they were rabid. Then 2 would do it. (I think I could handle 1)

Next up…

monkeys (I like monkeys)

I like monkeys.

But 200 monkeys would be too much.

Next up… Bagpipers
