All female humans are born with a hymen, but it is a pretty fragile piece of tissue. There are lots of occurrences that can happen during a woman’s childhood to rupture it. Once damaged, it does not regrow. The other factor here is that because a hymen is so fragile, some women do not notice when they lose it, be that by sex, tampon use or whatever.
