Sadly, their new mantra is “fuck around and find out”. You’re going to see FAFO a lot from MAGA in response.
Watching frame by frame:
ICE agents beating a struggling man with batons
The man’s coat opened revealing a gun in his waistband or lower back
One agent in gray grabbed the gun and was walking away
THEN the other agents shot the man in the back
Now the local pigs are gassing the crowd.
Out of curiosity, what legal recourse does the woman in pink have if ICE agents were to seize her phone and destroy it and its footage?
Lady in pink’s vid is available on Reddit. Sorry, I wasn’t sure how to link. It was captioned “alternative angle of ICE-involved shooting from the lady in pink’s perspective.” Clearly shows the guy just had his phone.
Will be interested when I can see enlarged and captioned versions. It is clear the ICE thugs were horribly in the wrong. Just a tad hard to see exactly who did what in the vids - and my personal ability to manipulate vid is limited.
Footage from the Pink Lady’s phone:

Here’s the footage from the lady in the pink jacket:
Looks like they also pepper sprayed him before beating him and pistol whipping him. All that wasn’t enough to take this unhinged berserker down so they had no choice but to execute him.
Jury nullification is left but if that starts happening too often the defendant will just get rearrested on some trumped up (word choice deliberate) charge before they can leave the courthouse. It’s already happening with people being snatched at mandated immigration hearings then ‘disappeared.’
Speak of the Devil and he comes. Chicago Tribune headline: Chicago man acquitted on Bovino murder-for-hire charges now in ICE custody,
The cherry on this shit sundae:
“This verdict does not change the facts: (Juan) Espinoza Martinez targeted federal law enforcement with violence via Snapchat,” DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in an emailed statement, which went on to strike some other familiar themes about the media, sanctuary politicians and “terrorists” bent on harming immigration agents.
Beyond the fact that he was acquitted of intending to threaten violence against Bovino, the job of ICE or Border Patrol is supposed to be detaining people reasonably suspected of violating immigration laws, period! NOT enforcing any other federal laws, and definitely not going after generic “terrorists” or “bad guys” like we’re in a badly-written thriller or Western. ![]()
Actually, that’s not the worst, this is:
The family does not know where Espinoza Martinez is being held or when he will be deported to his native Guerrero, Mexico, where he has not been since he was 5 years old, she said.
I fear that, now that he’s fallen into the clutches of thugs, he won’t be deported any time soon because they’ll want to keep him in their [del]power[/del] custody, out of sight of any oversight, for as long as possible.
Thx. On Reddit now says no longer available. I trust it is being spread widely.
Will be interesting to hear what all happened. Why the thug shoves the person in white so hard. The victim was trying to help them up, but the thugs were insistent on pulling him off. At no point did the victim initiate aggression against the thugs.
Reddit is a bunch of bootlicking cowards and deleted the video from their site
That is horrifying. Straight up murder.
This one worked for me. Even though that sub in general is not that great. Who knows if it will stay up:
Was the protester really armed? I can’t tell what’s going on when he’s on the ground. Even if he was, they never needed to shoot.
Several sources claim (or guess) that he had his gun holstered to his back. He never touched the gun…but in the scuffle as he was shoved to the ground, his jacket revealed its existence, and the ICE stormtroopers freaked out like the untrained bloodthirsty weaklings they are, and shot him multiple times, perhaps even after one of them had removed the gun entirely.
On top of everything else, the President of the United States apparently doesn’t know you can use a dollar sign or the word “dollars” but not both at once.
Seemingly, yes. The new video is damning as it shows the lead up as well. The victim is backing away from approaching agents while filming with his phone. An ICE agent shoves a protester hard to the ground, then shoves the victim. The victim tries to help up the first person, and the agent rips him off of her, then proceeds to tackle him while other agents rush in.
One of the agents sees the gun holstered in the victim’s waistband in his back, reaches down to remove it and does so. At some point someone says there is a gun. Another agent, not visible in the first 2 videos, draws his weapon and almost immediately shoots the victim in the back. The agents all jump back and one draws his weapon and fires 6 or 7 times. That’s what we saw in the first video.
At no point does the victim reach for his weapon or any agents’ weapons. At no point does he initiate confrontation.
Eta: I now see there’s a fourth video but I can’t make out any new information. I’m awaiting the NYT assessment
“Man murdered by violent, lawless gang in the streets of Minneapolis.”
I know the right is inevitably going to defend this just as hard as the shooting of Good, and Trump is already putting out spin, but this is even more difficult to justify. I don’t see how you can interpret any kind of threat to officers in these new videos.
With Good, you can pretend that the cop might think his life was in danger (though analysis shows that it would have been unreasonable to do so), but in this case, the guy was already on the ground and had 4 guys on him beating him. He didn’t have anything in his hand deadlier than a phone.
This is like Rodney King, except King survived.
This is like Rodney King, except King survived.
And, like with King, “justice” might only be served years later, after an unrelated incident*, in a way that’s unjust (in isolation) to the victims of that other incident…all because of a messed up power system.
(*The O.J. Simpson trial).
But let’s hope I’m wrong, and the actual ICE murderers suffer actual justice.
New footage showing a thug clapping as he walks away from the dead man.

This clip appears to show an agent clapping after the shooting:
Yeah, the logic of the agents was apparently that if the man had a gun on his person, that was cause for shooting - a big leap above the usual he has to be using the gun against us or pointing it at us for us to shoot.
