The idiots that stay out of Mexican restaurants because of fear of flu

Has anyone been in a restaurant lately that does NOT have Latinos - usually Mexicans - cooking? Unless you live in East Bumblefuck, Nebraska, every restaurant has Latinos in the kitchen. So these guys who are afraid of swine flu that stay out of Mexican restaurants are so kidding themselves. The best Greek, Italian, American, and etc. joints all have Mexican cooks. Helloo?

I heard you can get the virus by going onto Mexican hosted web servers…

CC: I haven’t heard of people avoiding Mexican restaurants because of the flu. Do you have some kind of link?

No cite. It’s just all over the news.

Just avoid the pigs with lipstick on 'em!

My idjet sister-in-law* threw out all of their frozen pork products yesterday. Bacon, ham, pork chops, lamb chops and and leg of (you guessed it) lamb.**

That’s right - lamb and pork are the same - just different names for swine.

And she WILL NOT eat at taco bell time either.

Run, Run, Hide, Hide! It’s the Aporkalypse!

*I keep asking her husband to divorce her and send her back to the rock he found her under. If there were a god, he’d be embarrassed that someone such a this woman might be though of as having been his idea. Unfortunately, there is no god to call down a lightning strike from. Well, okay, maybe … has anyone got Thor’s prayer number???
**No sheep were harmed in the making of this post. Insulted, maybe, but not harmed.

That means lower pork prices for the rest of us. Mmmmmm…pork.

Swine flu is a decoy; the real epidemic is stupidity.

East Bumblefuck, Nebraska - home of the meatpacking plants - probably has 10 times more Latinos than you think are living there.

Mom was saying that it’s a pity she doesn’t have a bigger freezer, as this would be a perfect moment to get a whole hog butchered. She was at the butcher’s yesterday and some moron said she didn’t want to buy pork back because of the flu. Everybody stared at her in complete silence (and believe me, achieving silence in that store is amazingly hard) while digesting the information. She finished buying, red as tomato sauce, and left. And then someone said “you guys think we should’a reminded her that the chorizo and mixed-meat sausage she’d already gotten also have pork?”

I did hear someone recently say that he wasn’t worried about the swine flu because he “doesn’t eat Mexican food.”

I can say with certainty that there are few to no people of Mexican or Hispanic descent working in the kitchens in my town. So you all can come here and avoid the aporkalypse.

Is this some kind of slang reference?

I don’t care if a few idiots are avoiding Mexican restaurants because of swine flu. It just means more chips and salsa for me.

I would think that if you wanted to avoid Mexican food, you’d go to Taco Bell.

Heh- we have Mexicans making sushi in this town! People are generally morons.
