I’m aware of the anti-Christian terror campaigns in France, as well as those in the Soviet Union, China, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, … But I prefer to get the truth out there one piece at a time.

Yes, but who are you getting the truth out to? I think most people know that Christian churches were persecuted in the Soviet block, revolutionary France, Nazi Germany, etc. There’s no secret made of it.

I’m not sure who it is, that knows anything about the era anyway, that doesn’t know many Christians died for their beliefs. The term “The Holocaust” itself usually refers specifically to genocide against the Jews though.

As a Puritan, Cromwell was generally anti-Catholic, period.

I don’t have a reliable cite for you. I know it from some oldschool German-Jewish Masons that I know. The blue forget-me-not worn under a lapel facing inward was the symbol used to distinguish one another.

The Nazis didn’t have a racial basis for their dislike of Catholicism. Remember, Nazism was strongest in Southern, Catholic Germany (and Hitler came from a Catholic family himself). The “advocates of eugenics” you mentioned that “believed that Catholic faith was an indicator of racial inferiority”, weren’t from all over the world, but from the US, Britain, and Scandinavia, where the eugenics movements were strongest, and those countries had a long history of religious opposition to Catholicism and anti-Catholic bias.

That’s more or less in agreement with what I’m saying. The eugenics movement in Britain and America and the Nazi movement were distinct, but they did have relations. When the Nazi first started making laws aimed at a goal of ‘racial purity’, they looked to sterilization laws and campaigns in the United States. Later, advocates of eugenics in the United States praised what was happening in Germany. Certainly it would be wrong to say that Nazi ideology arose wholly from the eugenics movement in other countries, but it would be equally incorrect to say that there was no influence.

The Jews were not subject to arrest, persecution and death because of their religion. Religion was not a part of this. The Nazi laws towards Jews were based on ethnic ancestry. That means that Jews who had converted to Christianity, and even the baptized children of Jews who had converted to Christianity, could still be arrested if their background was found out.

Nazism was not about Christians vs. Jews. It was about the Nazis vs. anyone the Nazis didn’t like. They came up with all kinds of bizarre justifications for their “racial” laws. The Nazis were just peachy with the Japanese, referring to them as “honorary Aryans.” They felt the same way about the Arabs, because the Arabs were trying to exterminate the Jews in what was then known as Palestine - Hitler and the Nazis were quite close with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and other Arab leaders despite the Arabs being Semites and therefore of the same racial makeup of the Jews. The Nazis also thought the Slavs were subhuman but they were more than happy to give a pass to Ukrainians who were willing to cooperate with the Nazis and form SS units.

And the “Jews” were perfectly happy to join with the British authrorities in Palestine and attack Ara villiages and camps and businessess during the Arab Revolt of 1936-39.

As for the Nazis being “peachy” with Arabs, that is totally wrong. Ask someone who lived in Libiya, Algeria or Tunisia on how the Nazis treated the locals. Although the Allies did scarcely better.
