Sure, there are heartening examples of tolerance by millenials and post-millenials.
There are also many depressing instances of hatred, bigotry and outright violence (in the U.S. and abroad) involving young people who can’t abide the fact that there are people who look and think differently from them. They are Angry, and that evidently trumps any obligation to speak and act decently.
Before concluding that young folks are The Future Of The Wor-ulld (literally true), we should ponder whether it’s necessarily going to be that rosy a future.

Reputable studies of this kind have more potential to get through to the ignorant*, than do a million hours of arguments about what particular words ‘should’ mean.
*By “ignorant” I mean people who genuinely believe that ‘racism is over’ or such. I’m not talking about people who are emotionally wedded both to racism and to believing that they themselves are not racist.
It never ceases to amuse me how eve now, after centuries of a well-documented history of whites founding and establishing a society based on racism, only marginally corrected by amendments and occasional evolution of social attitudes, are still stipulating the terms upon which they will ultimately embrace a society in which there is true equality.

If I were black, I would have a low opinion of white America.
