I just spent the last two days being toured around London by illuminatiprimus and although my feet are killing me, it was worth it.
How nice a person do you have to be to volunteer to lead a couple of complete strangers around? If you are thinking “pretty damn nice” I would agree with you. 
Add being willing to take us to Topshop and stop for a rest every time I started whinging, and you have illuminatiprimus-nice.

Had an awesome time with him in London when I visited. Can’t wait to go back.

He took very good care of the daughter when she was in London. She had a great time and came home grinning about it. (And him) I think he’s quite a guy.

Thanks Brynda, thirdwarning and Nenno for your kind words, it’s really lovely. Just doing my bit to increase the love in the world, you know? Plus Nenno did pay me back by once sending me a pic of him topless so it all evened out (I think his wife was down with it, but who knows?).
That and I get to guilt people into making threads afterwards that stroke my ego…
But seriously, it’s great to be able to play tourguide in London because most of the time you just take it for granted. When you’re showing it to others you’re reminded what an amazing place it is, and it gives you an excuse to go to all your favourite places and say “Look, neat huh?”. I’m just sorry that we had to practically jam the cake at Patisserie Valerie into our faces due to them closing in 5 minutes. Stupid Sunday trading laws… :mad:

I believe that I first noticed Illuminatiprimus in the “Ask the Satanist” thread; he struck me as pretty dang cool then and he just gets cooler ever since.
Alas, I will probably never make it overseas; but if you ever want to see the sights of scenic Oakland…
Which is funny because for a lot of people that thread seemed to create the view for them that I was some kind of nutjob and made them ascribe thoughts and views to me that I never actually said, but then I guess people will believe whatever they want to.
